Performing geographical location spotting and map reading, you will provide detailed instructions to Fleet Service or contracted personnel to determine member / customer location and when duty calls, you may also service as a back-up Driver to ensure quality service for our members. </p><p></p><p></p><p><u>In this role, you will also have the opportunity to:</u> </p><ul><li><p>Monitor dispatched calls and take action to resolve and correct service or other potential problems </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Handle driver/customer escalations in accordance with established procedures </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Provide explanations to customers and reports / document service issues </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Close service requests using company electronic dispatching system  </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Accept payment from members / customers, when necessary  </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Reconcile and resolve rudimentary payment issues and maintain related records and files </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Maintain inventory of tow truck / service vehicle supplies, vehicle maintenance / repair records, and requisition replacement tools and / or equipment, when required </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Ensure proper maintenance of tow trucks, service vehicles and equipment </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Assist coworkers and less-tenured dispatchers, as necessary </p></li></ul><p></p><p><u>How we reward our employees:</u> </p><p>In addition to a competitive starting salary, ACG offers excellent and comprehensive benefits packages: </p><ul><li><p>Hourly rates starting at $25.00/hr.<i> Pay rate will be determined based on experience and may exceed starting rate.</i> </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Overtime earning potential at time and a half the hourly wage </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Shift premiums: 5% for hours worked between 5pm and 11pm and 10% for hours worked between 11pm and 5am </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>$250 Quarterly Perfect Attendance bonus </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Fully paid training </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Medical, dental and vision benefits </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>401k with employer match </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Paid parental leave and adoption assistance  </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Paid Time Off (PTO), company paid holidays, CEO days and floating holidays </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Paid volunteer day annually </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Tuition assistance program, professional certification reimbursement program and other professional development opportunities </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>AAA Membership  </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Discounts, perks, rewards and much more </p></li></ul><p></p><p></p><p><u>We are looking for candidates who:</u> </p><p><b>Required Qualifications:</b> </p><p><i>Education</i> </p><ul><li><p>Have a high school diploma or equivalent (GED) </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Possess a valid state driver’s license with minimal driving infractions / incidents  </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Successfully complete drug screening, MVR, criminal background check and DOT health screenings (pre-employment and ongoing) </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>If employed in Illinois, have a valid Illinois C-Non CDL driver’s license </p></li></ul><p></p><p><i>Experience</i> </p><ul><li><p>Prior tow truck or other related driving experience </p></li></ul><p></p><p><i>Knowledge and Skills</i> </p><ul><li><p>Have strong interpersonal, communication and customer service skills </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Can perform basic mathematical calculations including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Able to locate street numbers and intersections within an acceptable timeframe </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Comfortable providing direction and guidance to others </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Able to maintain files / records and complete activity reports </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Successfully complete drug screening and DOT health screen </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Operate tow truck or light service vehicle and related equipment to provide emergency road service to AAA members and other motorists </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Capable of providing minor automotive repair (i.e. changing hoses, belts, etc.) during absence of assigned personnel </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Lift materials weighing up to seventy-five (75) pounds </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Fluent in speaking, reading, writing in English </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Familiar with various types of towing equipment (i.e. safety chains, sling, &#39;j&#39; hooks, dollies, lock-out tools, wheel-lift equipment, roll back trucks, etc.) </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Willing to work irregular hours and in adverse weather conditions, when required </p></li></ul><p></p><p><u>Work Environment</u> </p><p>Works 50% of time in normal office environment.  Frequent (50% or more) time spent in driving service vehicles and/or tow trucks to provide emergency road service to AAA members, employees, and the general public, with exposure to road hazards and temperature extremes.  </p><p></p><p><i>Interested in learning more?
