Over 10,000 homeless individuals are cared for by Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program each year. Our clinicians, case managers, and behavioral health professionals work in more than 30 locations to serve some of our community’s most vulnerable—and most resilient—citizens. We provide community-based health care services that are compassionate, dignified, and culturally appropriate, incorporating social determinants of health, with the goal of breaking down the physical and systemic barriers that our patients face. Job Summary: Union: Yes Union Name: 1199SEIU Patient Facing:  No This position requires the ability to work independently within a team environment.  The employee must be able to continuously assess the building needs regarding clean up or maintenance and report these needs to the supervisor.  Must be able to take direction well and be flexible in meeting the changing housekeeping and maintenance needs of the building. Responsibilities: Housekeeping duties and light building maintenance include, but are not limited to: Vacuum cleaning, mopping, stripping, waxing, and buffing floors Trash removal Cleaning lobby area and restrooms Cleaning various areas in clinic Cleaning common areas Window washing Cleaning and maintaining outside areas Snow removal Must abide by all OSHA regulations and attend trainings on safety as required Other tasks as assigned Qualifications: High School graduate or equivalent work experience Housekeeping experience preferred Excellent organizational skills Ability to clearly communicate Must be self-motivated and able to complete tasks with little or no supervision Ability to take direction well Must be able to effectively work in a team Ability to work overtime when necessary Compensation and Benefits: The compensation increases based on years of experience and ranges from $22.25 -35.60 per hour. BHCHP full-time employees are eligible for our competitive time off program, health, dental and vision insurance, 403B retirement savings plan, pre-tax MBTA pass program with 40% discount, additional compensation for demonstrated bilingual proficiency and more.  Benefits are prorated for part-time employees.   Does this amazing opportunity interest you?
