At Barnard, we build the riskiest, most difficult, complex jobs we can find and we hire people who thrive on tough work and demanding opportunities.</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities: </strong></p>\n<p>Must possess competence in the following areas in order to perform his/her role in a safe, productive and effective manner:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Preferred experience in <strong>concrete placing and finishing</strong>.</li>\n <li>Digging, spreading, shoveling and leveling dirt and gravel,</li>\n <li>Using a pick and shovel</li>\n <li>Lift, carry and support construction material</li>\n <li>Mix, pour, and spread concrete, gravel and other materials.</li>\n <li>Excavation, trenching, erect scaffolding, remove rubble and debris</li>\n <li>Perform clean-up work in connection with the above work</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Position Requirements: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen</li>\n <li>Ability to exert heavy physical effort, handling average weight objects up to 25 pounds</li>\n <li>Ability to kneel, stoop, crouch, balance, climb or crawl</li>\n <li>Ability to correctly rig and hoist material</li>\n <li>Ability to tolerate heights without fear</li>\n <li>Ability to maintain balance</li>\n <li>Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time, reach for, handle, and manipulate items and to work in extreme weather conditions (cold and wet)</li>\n <li>Confined Space, OSHA certifications (preferred)</li>\n <li>Able to work long, irregular and varied hours, 50 to 70 hours per week</li>\n <li>Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.</li>\n <li>Ability to safely and effectively perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal , state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><em>Equal Opportunity Employer Veterans/Disabled, E-Verify Employer</em></p>\n<p> </p>",
