We are currently seeking a <strong>Supervisor for our Vital Link Donation Center</strong>.</p><p><strong>About the Role</strong></p><p>As a Supervisor<strong>&nbsp;</strong>in the Vital Link Donation Center, you will&nbsp;lead a team of skilled clinical support coordinators to support the mission of donation and transplantation with efficiency and collaboration in mind. &nbsp;Additional responsibilities include:&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Assists with training new team members and onboarding staff.</li><li>Represent the department in meetings and collaborates with peer depts and external business partners.</li><li>Coaches the team for continued operational success.&nbsp;</li><li>Refines department processes and innovates for growth.</li><li>Provides shift coverage as needed as well as daily monitoring of the team to assist with high volume peaks and staff needs.</li><li>Fosters an environment of support and demonstrates strong leadership skills and professionalism.</li><li>Provides shift and case oversight to ensure seamless transitions and expedited processes of VLDC staff from shift to shift, referral to referral and/or case to case with solid knowledge of all current and pending activity for organ and tissue.</li><li>Performs all aspects of the Clinical Support Coordinator role, as needed, to ensure an exceptional level of service is provided.</li><li>Reviews and guides Clinical Support Coordinator documentation and assists in quality assurance audits.</li><li>Provides exceptional customer service to Indiana Donor Network staff, donor hospitals, tissue processors and other essential entities involved with the donation process.</li><li>Maintains continued education requirements and participates in departmental quality improvement projects and initiatives.</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Shift Information</strong></p><p>This position will work night shift from 7p to 7a on a rotating schedule and is part of supervisory team.</p><p><strong>Who We&rsquo;re Looking For</strong></p><p>Successful candidates will hold an Associate&rsquo;s degree. &nbsp; In lieu of an Associate&rsquo;s degree, prior supervisory/management experience in a health related field and/or a minimum of 1 year of successful employment within Indiana Donor Network.&nbsp;Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities include:</p><p>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Strategic thinking abilities; strong planning and organizational abilities; demonstrated adaptability and flexibility.</li><li>Strong business ethics and integrity, and demonstrated high degree of confidentiality.</li><li>Ability to respond effectively to common inquiries or complaints from customers, staff, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.</li><li>Ability to work cooperatively within a group to make the work of the group successful and effective.</li><li>Skill in transferring job-related knowledge/skills by training VLDC staff.</li><li>Ability to represent the organization in a professional manner at all times and communicate and interact with nurses, physicians, hospital/transplant professionals, Indiana Donor Network employees, and members of the general community.</li><li>Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.</li><li>Skill in handling multiple tasks simultaneously.</li><li>Knowledge of and ability to serve as a clinical resource to other staff members.</li><li>Ability to make sound decisions and to identify what situations require escalation to higher levels; ability to use resources effectively.</li><li>Skill in charting, including ability to accurately enter data into an online system and ability to instruct others in the process.</li><li>Ability to create and give effective educational presentations.</li><li>Skill in training others including creating an environment that promotes learning and explaining technical concepts/terms.</li><li>Ability to serve 24-hour on-call shifts.</li><li>Ability to work effectively in a team environment.</li><li>Creative problem solving.</li><li>Ability to identify and recommend improvements in policies, processes and procedures.</li><li>Ability to make decisions under pressure.</li><li>Ability to interact with Management internally and externally.</li><li>Ability to lead effectively.</li><li>Ability to work a rotating schedule including nights and weekends to ensure adequate coverage as well as support of the various shifts in the department.</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Benefits &amp; Perks</strong></p><ul><li>At Indiana Donor Network, we believe in taking care of our team members.
