We are looking for a dedicated professional with OR experience and one of the following credentials: <strong>RNFA/PA/NP/LSA/CSFA</strong> (with ability to get LSA)<strong>. </strong>As a Surgical First Assist, you will play a critical role in the success of our surgical procedures. This position is exclusively OR-based, with no clinic or rounding responsibilities. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Benefits:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Multiple medical plan options</li>\n <li>Health Savings Account with company contributions</li>\n <li>Dental and vision coverage for you and your dependents</li>\n <li>401k with company match</li>\n <li>Paid time off (PTO) including vacation, sick time, and holidays</li>\n <li>Company wellness program with health insurance incentives</li>\n</ul>\n<p>MPOWERHealth offers flexible employment options including <strong>1099, FTE, and PTE.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Surgical First Assist:</strong> Primary function is to provide first assist support during surgical procedures. </li>\n <li><strong>Pre-operative Coordination:</strong> Confirm cases, meet patients, explain procedures, obtain necessary documentation, and coordinate with OR staff.</li>\n <li><strong>Intraoperative Support:</strong> Assist with patient positioning, maintain sterile field, anticipate surgeon needs, and collaborate with the OR team.</li>\n <li><strong>Post-operative Care:</strong> Assist with patient transfer, provide PACU handover, and complete necessary documentation.</li>\n <li><strong>Continuous Improvement:</strong> Participate in clinical and operational projects, such as education, training, and process improvement.</li>\n <li><strong>Skill Expansion:</strong> Demonstrate willingness to learn new surgical specialties and expand skill set.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must have at least 2 years of surgical assisting experience.</li>\n <li><strong>Must have experience assisting in Spine, Ortho, Neuro, General, Robotics and GYN.</strong></li>\n <li>Orthopedics experience is a plus.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Education/Training:</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must have excellent computer skills, specifically MS Office, and EMR.</li>\n <li>Must be a graduate of an Accredited Master’s Degree program for Physician Assistant Studies for PAs, or a Master/Doctoral Degree Program in Nurse Practitioner Studies for NPs.
