Shift times: 6am-2pm, 7am-3pm, 11am-7pm and 12pm-8pm. </p>\n<p><strong>Salary Range: </strong>$26.52 per hour to $28.22 per hour</p>\n<p><strong>Work mode:</strong> Onsite</p>\n<p><strong>Location:</strong> Tall Pines LTC - 1001 Peter Robertson Blvd, Brampton ON L6R 2Y3</p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Long-Term Care Division requires staff to provide person-centered care to our residents and families following the Butterfly Philosophy of Care. This will ensure high levels of emotional wellbeing and a better quality of life for those living in our homes. Staff are to have emotional intelligence ability to deliver person-centered care in an authentic way that is meaningful to the resident and their family. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Reporting to Facility Supervisor (or designate) you will perform housekeeping duties to ensure the Centre, including furniture and equipment, is kept clean. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>What you will do in this Role:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Dries, damp mops, spray buffs, strips and refinishes all floor surfaces and stairways </li>\n <li>Washes walls, air vents, light fixtures, windows and ledges </li>\n <li>Disinfect surfaces according to infection prevention and control protocols </li>\n <li>Vacuums and shampoos all carpet and upholstered furniture </li>\n <li>Removes waste, keeps all containers cleaned and lined and takes action to address offensive odors </li>\n <li>Replenishes paper towels, tissue and soap dispensers </li>\n <li>Maintains equipment and materials </li>\n <li>Reports building deficiencies and faulty equipment </li>\n <li>Reports health and safety hazards, actively participates in eliminating causes of accidents and performs emergency occupational health and safety measures as required</li>\n <li>Participates in relevant aspects of the continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) program </li>\n <li>Housekeeping Aide responsibilities as per job description </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>What the Role Requires:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Grade 10 or equivalent education is required </li>\n <li>Previous experience in a housekeeping role </li>\n <li>Must have effective oral and written communication skills </li>\n <li>Must be able to communicate appropriately with residents, staff, suppliers, visitors and volunteers</li>\n <li>Must be physically able to perform all delegated duties. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Perks @ Peel and why you will love working for us: </strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>14% in lieu of benefits </li>\n <li>Automatic enrolment into OMERS pension plan</li>\n <li>Supportive leadership and a culture of respect and inclusion </li>\n <li>Access to tuition reimbursement and learning and development resources </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Please note: Successful candidates hired to work within any of The Region of Peel’s Long Term Care Homes are required to provide the following information at their own expense:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Vulnerable Sector Police Check</strong></li>\n <li><strong>TB Skin Testing</strong></li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Interview: </strong>Our recruitment process will be completed with video conference technology. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Kindly ensure to regularly monitor your spam and junk email folders, as important communications regarding your application may be directed there.</strong></p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>If this opportunity matches your qualifications and experience, please apply on-line.</strong> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Be bold.
