    "description_html": "<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Position:</strong> Greenskeeper 1 &nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>Wage Class:</strong> Non-Exempt</p><p><strong>Supervisor:</strong> Assistant Superintendent(s) &nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>Department: </strong>Golf Course Maintenance</p><p><u><strong>Summary: </strong></u>Under the direction and supervision of the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendents, the Greenskeeper I performs safely, the basic and semi-skilled tasks and project work related to maintaining a golf course and its facilities.</p><p><u><strong>Essential Functions:</strong></u></p><p>1. Operates the necessary equipment to mow/trim greens, tees, collars and approaches.</p><p>2. Operates equipment and performs duties involving sand bunkers and filling divots.</p><p>3. Aids storm clean-up, aeration, sod laying, brush/debris removal.</p><p>4. Performs duties using a rotary mower, fly mower, edger, string trimmer, backpack and pull behind blower, as well as hand tools.</p><p><u><strong>Marginal Functions:</strong></u></p><p>1. Helps with other departments when assistance is requested.</p><p>2. Performs other duties as directed by his/her supervisor.</p><p>3. Maintains a clean break room and locker area.</p><p><u><strong>Intellectual Demands:</strong></u></p><p>1. Ability to follow oral and written directions</p><p>2. Willingness to learn and adapt to new job tasks.</p><p>3. Proactive in individual and group task settings</p><p><u><strong>Physical Demands:</strong></u></p><p>1. Has the ability to lift products/equipment up to 50 lbs. above shoulders.</p><p>2. Has the ability to push/pull, bend, and climb when required.</p><p>3. Has the ability to stand long periods of time and walk at steady pace for up to 5 hours.&nbsp;</p><p>4. Operation of equipment continually for a period of 3-5 hours.</p><p><u><strong>Environmental Demands:</strong></u></p><p>1. All work is performed outdoors, rain or shine.</p><p>2. Exposure to extreme heat and bitter cold temperatures.</p><p>3. Occasional exposure to chemicals, electricity, fumes, and moving parts</p><p>4.
