Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing projects from pre-construction through closeout, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>This role is ideal for a proactive leader who enjoys solving complex challenges, building strong client relationships, and collaborating with field operations teams to deliver successful projects.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>KLS Earthworks is a leading civil construction contractor specializing in earthworks, underground utilities, and infrastructure development. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality projects while maintaining our commitment to safety, integrity, and exceptional client service.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What You’ll Do</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Project Leadership &amp; Delivery</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead projects from award through completion, ensuring successful execution of scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety requirements.</li>\n<li>Coordinate with clients, consultants, engineers, municipalities, utility providers, regulatory authorities, and internal teams.</li>\n<li>Develop, maintain, and monitor detailed project schedules, including short-term and look-ahead planning.</li>\n<li>Facilitate project handover meetings and ensure project teams are aligned on scope, objectives, and contract requirements.</li>\n<li>Manage project closeout activities, including deficiency resolution, documentation, and client turnover.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Financial &amp; Contract Management</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Monitor project costs, productivity, and forecasting to support profitability targets.</li>\n<li>Review, evaluate, and negotiate subcontractor and supplier pricing.</li>\n<li>Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and risk mitigation.</li>\n<li>Support change management, progress billing, and contract administration activities.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Client &amp; Stakeholder Management</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Build and maintain positive working relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and municipal representatives.</li>\n<li>Lead project communications and provide timely updates to stakeholders.</li>\n<li>Proactively address project challenges and implement solutions that support project success and client satisfaction.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Safety &amp; Risk Management</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Promote and support KLS's commitment to safety excellence.</li>\n<li>Identify project risks early and develop mitigation strategies.</li>\n<li>Ensure project execution aligns with company policies, contract requirements, and regulatory standards.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span>Required</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum 5 years of project management experience in earthworks, civil construction, or underground utility projects.</li>\n<li>Strong understanding of construction scheduling, budgeting, cost control, and contract administration.</li>\n<li>Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.</li>\n<li>Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.</li>\n<li>Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.</li>\n<li>Valid Class 5 Driver's License.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Preferred</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience obtaining City of Calgary permits, approvals, and indemnifications.</li>\n<li>Experience coordinating temporary utility shutdowns and public notifications.</li>\n<li>Experience with HeavyBid, HeavyJob, Vista Viewpoint, or similar construction management software.</li>\n<li>Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering Technology, Project Management, or a related field.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What we are Offering</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications</li>\n<li>Comprehensive benefits package starting on Day 1</li>\n<li>Professional development and training opportunities</li>\n<li>Career advancement opportunities within a growing civil construction company</li>\n<li>Collaborative and supportive team environment</li>\n<li>The opportunity to lead impactful infrastructure projects that shape our communities</li>\n<li>A strong safety-first culture where employees are valued and supported</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em>KLS Earthworks Inc. is committed to creating a safe and inclusive workplace.
