    "description": "<p>Comunilife Inc. is looking for Peer /Bridge Mentors for its Brooklyn location. Assisting in the promotion of positive youth development, and peer mentoring activities in the LIP programs,&nbsp;support and assist in the development of Peer Councils for each site, and support development of peer council elected youth. The Peer Mentor will assist program participants manage MH stressors by promoting mental and physical health and wellness and support in developing youth reach their full potential through personal growth, youth leadership skills and civic engagement activities This position is part time up to 10 hours a week.</p>\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Essential Functions:</strong></p>\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>Assist with the outreach, engagement, and acculturation of program participants to participate in peer councils and leadership opportunities within Lie if Precious.</li>\r\n\t<li>Provide crisis intervention services and supportive peer counseling when needed;</li>\r\n\t<li>Assist in building up the esteem and self-confidence of participants, by engaging them in activities of mutual interest, accompanying participants to view apartments, or to appointments to aide in obtaining entitlements</li>\r\n\t<li>Encourage participants to learn about and access LIP community support</li>\r\n\t<li>Support the development of Peer Councils in NYC LIPs and support the monthly Peer Council meetnigs</li>\r\n\t<li>Support development of &ldquo;incentive&rdquo; stores at each LIP NYC program</li>\r\n\t<li>Peer Mentors will collaborate with case management staff on the needs of the client.</li>\r\n\t<li>Conduct groups to promote socialization skills and promote recovery.</li>\r\n\t<li>Documentation of interaction.</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n",
