    "description": "<h2>Role Summary</h2>\n<p>The Service Assistant’s role is to Assist in all areas of service with a focus on running food and maintaining cleanliness of the restaurant.</p>\n<h2>Role Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Knowledge of table numbers</li>\n <li>Ensuring each dish appears correctly prepared</li>\n <li>Assist with side work before, during and after each shift</li>\n <li>Stay aware of the dining room and being prepared to provide any item a guest requests</li>\n <li>Maintain overall appearance of dining room and expo station</li>\n <li>Deliver food promptly to guest and be able to describe and answer questions about each dish</li>\n <li>Respond appropriately to guest requests/needs, communicate with servers and staff about all issues and requests</li>\n <li>Communicate all 86’d items to staff and management</li>\n <li>Be ready and willing to offer assistance to coworkers as necessary, including but not limited to welcoming all guests, running food and maintaining the dining room as a whole</li>\n <li>Promptly greet guests as they are seated and bring bread service if applicable</li>\n <li>Remove used tableware between courses and package food requested to take away</li>\n <li>Clear tables after guests leave. Take tableware to dish room and place silverware, dishes, glassware, etc. in appropriate areas for washing</li>\n <li>Promptly clean table tops, chairs and booths between seating. Check floor and clean as required. Reset and arrange tabletop</li>\n <li>Remove trash and recycling throughout the shift</li>\n <li>Respond appropriately to guest requests. Communicate guest requests to server as needed</li>\n <li>Communicate with server and hostess to assure efficient seating, table utilization and customer service</li>\n <li>Assist in polishing and restocking tableware, especially with large parties and during peak periods</li>\n <li>Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager</li>\n <li>If assigned as Barista for the shift, prepare and serve all coffee drinks and teas</li>\n <li>Assist in daily cleaning of the restaurant before and after service</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Role Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Previous restaurant experience preferred</li>\n <li>Strong communication and listening skills</li>\n <li>Pleasant, polite manner and a neat and clean appearance</li>\n <li>Self-motivated and interested in taking on additional roles and responsibilities</li>\n <li>Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8hours)</li>\n <li>Be able to lift up to 50 lbs, reach, bend and stoop</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>The Perks</h2>\n<p>URBN offers comprehensive Perks & Benefits to employees.
