View the comprehensive information about the competitive benefits package on our careers page then scroll down to <strong>CENTERS Benefits </strong>(click link to view).</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Prevent and respond to emergency situations</li>\n <li>Identify and report any malfunctions or irregularities of equipment or facility</li>\n <li>Attend regularly scheduled staff meeting and in service training</li>\n <li>Enforce all rules and regulations</li>\n <li>Provide customer service</li>\n <li>Lifeguard according to Facility, State Code and Lifeguard Training standards</li>\n <li>Supervise proper use of swimming pools along with supporting facilities</li>\n <li>Maintain current certifications in lifeguard training, First Aid for the professional rescuer, and CPR for the professional rescuer</li>\n <li>Perform pool maintenance duties as assigned</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Minimum Requirements</strong>:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Current American Red Cross, Ellis, YMCA or equivalent Lifeguard Training certification is required</li>\n <li>First Aid, AED, and CPR-PR certifications are required</li>\n <li>Previous lifeguard experience preferred</li>\n <li>Water Safety Instructor or Lifeguard Instructor certifications preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Competencies</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Technical Competencies</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Basic computer competency</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Professional Competencies</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to perform all Lifeguard skills as required by American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Program</li>\n <li>Successful completion of skills tests in swimming, rescue, and other areas as determined by the facility</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Human Relations</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Interaction with patrons, faculty, staff</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Work Environment and Physical Demands</h2>\n<p><strong>Work Environment</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Pool</li>\n <li>Moderate to loud noise</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Physical Demands</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Physical conditioning</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Other Duties </strong></p>\n<p>Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
