    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span><span>Position Purpose</span></span></span><span><span>: </span></span><span> </span></p>\n<p><span><span>The San Diego County Fair is seeking enthusiastic candidates who will </span><span>assist</span><span> </span><span>with </span><span>bringing </span><span>exhibits</span><span> </span><span>to life </span><span>in an immersive</span><span> and </span><span>creative </span><span>Theme </span><span>atmosphere. The exhibit, Once Upon a Fair, will allow </span><span>guests</span><span> of all ages to </span><span>experience an</span><span>d</span><span> learn about the</span><span> origins of storytelling. Cast members will</span><span> use</span><span> </span><span>props</span><span>, costumes</span><span> and decorations </span><span>both on stage and off stage t</span><span>o make the theme experience </span><span>unique and </span><span>e</span><span>ngaging</span><span>.</span><span>  </span><span>Main tasks include but are not limited </span><span>to</span><span> </span></span><span><span>assisting</span><span> in </span><span>crafting or painting</span><span> creative projects and </span><span>the </span><span>creation</span><span> of exhibits</span><span> for the annual Fair. This is a seasonal/temporary position not to exceed </span><span>125 days</span><span>. </span></span><span> </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span><span>Essential Functions</span></span></span><span><span>: </span></span><span> </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Be in character</span><span>,</span><span> on stage to perform a variety of </span><span>staf</span><span>f</span><span> duties including </span><span>introducing </span><span>guest presentations, </span><span>stage announcements, </span><span>book readings to fair guests, </span><span>etc.</span><span> </span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>May </span><span>assist</span><span> in</span><span> creative workshops</span><span> about literacy and reading, able</span><span> </span><span>to </span><span>inspire</span><span> guest</span><span>s of all ages to </span><span>interact in a fun and positive</span><span> way</span><span>.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>May be </span><span>required</span><span> to wear a costume character </span><span>for a limited of</span><span> </span><span>exhibit fixtures, </span><span>and </span><span>props</span><span> if needed</span><span> </span><span>pre and post fair</span><span> setup/strike</span><span> </span><span>using recycled or </span><span>lightweight materials such as foam</span><span>, lightweight wood, </span><span>fabric, </span><span>plastic</span><span> </span><span>or </span><span>cardboard</span><span>.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Possessing</span><span> excellent problem-solving skills</span><span> </span><span>are</span><span> </span><span>essential</span><span>. </span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Able to </span><span>memorize </span><span>script</span><span> and </span><span>work with other cast members </span><span>in a positive environment.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Responsible for the care and safekeeping of </span><span>exhibit supplies, </span><span>tools and equipment</span><span> and keeping </span><span>working</span><span> area clean</span><span>.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Practices good physical work methods, </span><span>utilizes</span><span> </span><span>good work</span><span> habits, and meets established production standards</span><span>.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Must be enthusiastic and able to handle occasional stressful situations effectively</span><span>.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Wears</span><span> proper personal protective equipment (e.g., gloves, googles) and always works in a safe work
