Applied Technical Services, LLC (“ATS” or the “Company”) is a leading provider of critical testing, inspection, certification, and compliance services. ATS is seeking an API 510/570/653 Engineering Consultant to support our Mechanical Integrity Department at ATS Richmond, VA office located in Rockville, VA. This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week with the potential for overtime.
Responsibilities:
Perform field inspections of industrial equipment (storage tanks, pressure vessels, and piping systems).
Generate calculations in accordance with API, ASME, STI, etc.
Generate written reports utilizing MS Word and MS Excel.
Develop AutoCAD drawings or isometrics.
Manage projects ranging from $5,000 - $100,000.
Manage client relationships.
Qualifications
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical/Structural Engineering or closely related field preferred.
5 years of experience in Mechanical Integrity.
Must be willing to travel 30% out of office.
Any of the following certifications: API-510, API-570, API-653, CWI.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Experience with AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks preferred.
Engineer in Training (EIT) and /or desired to acquire Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.

Work in around operating equipment and industrial environments.
Work with radiation and hazardous materials such as cleaners, penetrants, film developing chemicals, etc.
