          "text": "<p>EDMO’s team members spend time connecting with kids, honing leadership skills, and making a real impact - all while rocking wacky costumes and getting pied in the face! Our school year positions offer a unique opportunity to help kids uncover hidden talents and dive deeper into existing talents. Spend your time pursuing your goals and developing invaluable, transferrable professional skills (including problem solving, classroom management, and coaching).&#xa0;</p><p>The Site Assistant is the life line of our after school programs, training on and being ready to hold any position that the program has to offer including Site Director. Site Assistants are responsible for filling in wherever they are needed. When they are not subbing for an instructor&#xa0;role, they will assist the Site&#xa0;Director with operational oversight pertaining to their assigned location with a focus on coaching and mentoring other site staff.&#xa0;</p><p><strong>&#xa0;Main duties include:</strong></p><ul><li>Participating in any pre-program&#xa0;training, professional development, or in season meetings</li><li>Subbing for any role needed including instructor or Site Director</li><li>Helping the Site&#xa0;Director manage all aspects of daily operations</li><li>Assisting in coaching, mentoring and training instructors</li><li>Providing high caliber customer service by anticipating and addressing any kid, staff or parent challenges and/or concerns</li><li>Communicating with parents as needed, to make sure they are up to date on what their kids are experiencing</li><li>Ensuring all staff, kids, and parents are safe and have a positive experience in our program - this includes diligently following all EDMO Covid-19 guidelines and restrictions</li><li>Exhibiting the EDMO Vibe and demonstrating through actions and words each of the social emotional learning (SEL) skills of empathy, responsibility, initiative, collaboration, problem solving and emotion management, while also reinforcing these qualities in staff and kids</li></ul><p><em>Reports to: Site Director</em><br>&#xa0;</p>",

Please still apply if you are enthusiastic about this work and think you would be a strong fit.&#xa0;</p><p><strong>Preferred qualifications are:</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in related area and/or relevant experience</li><li>Experienced coach with teaching or educator support experience</li><li>A background in SEL and STEAM learning methodology</li><li>High level of experience providing feedback</li><li>Classroom teaching experience preferred</li><li>Creative, patient and positive attitude with a willingness to problem solve</li><li>Experience (and a love for!) working with kids</li><li>High sense of responsibility and dependability&#xa0;</li><li>Previous after school program experience preferred&#xa0;</li><li>Patience, flexibility, and adaptability</li><li>Self starter, motivated, but also team player</li><li>Credentialed teacher a HUGE plus</li></ul><p><em>CPR/First Aid Certification is required by the full time start date.
