From cloud and data to AI, risk, and core business technologies, teams in Pune&nbsp;will&nbsp;lead&nbsp;high&nbsp;impact work with a global mandate.<br>\n  &nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>IT Equities Technology</strong><span><strong>  </strong></span>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Jefferies’&nbsp;Equities Technology&nbsp;team builds and runs global, real-time trading and risk platforms across the full equities product spectrum—cash equities, portfolio/algo trading, central risk books, listed &amp; OTC derivatives, convertibles, swaps, and ETF/basket trading. The team supports front-office workflows end-to-end, including order management, quantitative trading, real-time position and risk, AI/ML analytics, trade lifecycle processing, and regulatory/customer reporting.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Operating in a&nbsp;24x7 follow-the-sun&nbsp;model across major trading hubs, the&nbsp;India Technology Innovation Hub&nbsp;will be a core engineering center working closely with New York, London, Hong Kong, and other regions to build and enhance high-performance, scalable systems using technologies such as&nbsp;Python, Java, C++/C#, cloud, modern visualization, low-latency messaging, and in-memory data stores.</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>Role Summary</strong></p>\n<p>Jefferies India is looking for a curious, motivated, and collaborative Developer to join the Equities Technology – Equity Derivatives team in Pune. The role will support key regional technology initiatives, with a focus on building, enhancing, and maintaining software systems used by the business.</p>\n<p>The ideal candidate should have strong software development fundamentals, hands-on experience in Java, good knowledge of SQL, and a willingness to learn and contribute in a fast-paced financial technology environment. Exposure to C# would be an added advantage.</p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Design, develop, and maintain clean, scalable, and maintainable software solutions.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Work under the guidance of senior engineers to deliver business and technology initiatives.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and team knowledge-sharing sessions.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Assist in troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving application issues.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Implement new features and enhancements as per business and technical requirements.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Contribute to technical documentation, internal knowledge bases, and development best practices.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Participate in agile development activities including sprint planning, estimation, stand-ups, and retrospectives.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Collaborate with developers, QA, support teams, and business stakeholders to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Required Skills &amp; Experience</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>5+ years of experience in software development.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Strong hands-on experience with Java.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Willingness to additionally work with C#; prior C# experience would be beneficial.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Good understanding of SQL and relational database design.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Experience with version control tools such as Git.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Understanding of unit testing practices and writing testable code.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Good communication and collaboration skills.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Eagerness to learn, improve, and work in a team-oriented environment.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Nice to Have</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Exposure to agile development environments.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Basic understanding of cloud platforms or CI/CD tools.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Exposure to Investment Banking / Financial Services technology environments.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Understanding of equity derivatives or capital markets domain would be an advantage.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Education</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Undergraduate degree or above, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Technical Skills / Tech Stack</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Primary Language: Java&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Secondary / Good to Have: C#&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Database: SQL, relational databases&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Tools: Git, unit testing frameworks&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Methodology: Agile / Scrum&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Nice to Have: Cloud platforms, CI/CD tools<br><br>\n   #LI-SK1</li>\n</ul>",
