You will also possess the ability to do basic documentation and programming. Also, you must possess good decision-making skills, emotional intelligence, be a team player, and respect confidentiality. The Group Intervention Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the behavioral, emotional, and social development of individuals in a correctional facility by facilitating evidence-based group programs. This position is responsible for delivering structured group interventions that promote rehabilitation, reduce recidivism, and support the development of pro-social skills. The specialist works closely with mental health and correctional staff to provide a safe and therapeutic environment.</p><p><strong>GROUP INTERVENTION SPECIALIST MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:</strong></p><ul><li id=\"isPasted\">Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Criminal Justice, or related field</li><li style=\"font-weight: bold;\"><strong>Experience in Behavioral Health, Social Services, or Psych</strong></li><li><u>Two (2) years of experience<strong>&nbsp;</strong>in therapeutic recreation or related field providing programming for persons who have a mental illness is preferred.</u></li><li>Experience working in a correctional mental health setting preferred.</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;GROUP INTERVENTION SPECIALIST ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</strong>&nbsp;</p><ul><li id=\"isPasted\">Works under clinical supervision and requires knowledge of behavioral healthcare programs and program techniques</li><li>As a Group Intervention Specialist, you will work with a variety of clients that include those with mental health diagnoses, substance use disorder, criminogenic thinking, etc. through a variety of programs</li><li>Notify Behavioral Health Director/Clinical Supervisor in a timely manner of problems requiring attention/intervention</li><li>Work with individuals in group settings to provide counseling, guidance and education</li><li>Work closely with co-facilitator to discuss the subject matter with individuals</li><li>Conduct clinical interventions as prescribed on the individual treatment plan using clinical intervention strategies within your scope of practice and directed by supervision</li><li>Provide psychosocial group interventions as prescribed on the individual treatment plan</li><li>Consults with other institution staff regarding the behavioral health caseload, inmate&rsquo;s institutional adjustment and service needs</li><li>Attends meetings as assigned</li><li>Attends in-service training sessions and workshops for professional development</li><li>Shall include evening and weekend coverage as scheduled</li><li>Other duties, as assigned</li></ul><p>VitalCore Health Strategies is an equal opportunity employer and committed to creating and maintaining an inclusive workplace in which all employees have an opportunity to participate and contribute to the success of the business and are valued for their skills, experience, and unique perspectives.</p></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div>\n",
