With whale watching, fishing, hiking trails and many more outdoor adventures readily available, this coastal region is a place to immerse yourself in its landscape and history.</p>\n<p>Job Summary:</p>\n<p>Assists in providing direct, and in-direct patient care under direction of appropriate personnel or leadership (e.g. registered nurses and providers). Provides individualized care plan for patient presentation. Acts as a clinical resource for students, those being oriented and volunteers. This position is represented by UFCW.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Job Requirements:</p>\n<div>\n <p>Education and Work Experience:</p>\n <ul>\n  <li>High School Education/GED or equivalent: Required</li>\n </ul>\n</div>\n<div>\n <p>Licenses/Certifications:</p>\n <ul>\n  <li>Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Certification: Required</li>\n  <li>Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required</li>\n  <li>Valid Driver’s License (DL) and must be at least 21 years of age or older: Required in CA</li>\n  <li>Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or National Emergency Medical Tech (NEMT): Required</li>\n </ul>\n</div>\n<div>\n <p>Facility Specific License/Certifications:</p>\n <ul>\n  <li>Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQI BLS) certification: Required</li>\n  <li>Certified Ambulance Driver (CAD): Required</li>\n  <li>California DMV Medical Examiner (DMVME): Required</li>\n </ul>\n</div>\n<div>\n <p>Essential Functions:</p>\n <ul>\n  <li>Provides individualized care plan for patient presentation within the EMT scope of practice.</li>\n  <li>Collects, records and communicates basic patient data, current and changing status as needed.</li>\n  <li>Cleans, inspects, assembles and sterilizes trays and equipment in accordance with established departmental procedures.</li>\n  <li>Takes immediate and appropriate action upon occurrence of emergency situation within job description and policies.</li>\n  <li>Participates in continuing/advanced education which demonstrates employee commitment to improving capabilities.</li>\n  <li>Performs other job-related duties as assigned.</li>\n </ul>\n</div>\n<div>\n <p>Organizational Requirements:</p>\n <p>Adventist Health is committed to the safety and wellbeing of our associates and patients.
