The Coordinator is not a supervisory position but plays a vital role in supporting swim instructors, lifeguards, participants, and families to ensure safe, effective, and mission-driven delivery of YMCA aquatics programs.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</strong></p><p>· Assist with the coordination and delivery of group and private swim lessons, swim team activities, and aquatics programs.</p><p>· Support lesson logistics, including class rosters, attendance tracking, program setup, and communication with families.</p><p>· Provide direct program delivery as needed (teach swim lessons, lifeguard, or assist with aquatic events).</p><p>· Assist with the delivery of certification courses (Lifeguarding, CPR, First Aid, Swim Instructor trainings), including communication with staff and members about class schedules, requirements, and logistics.</p><p>· Act as a liaison between families, participants, and the Aquatics Director to ensure positive member experiences and timely resolution of concerns.</p><p>· Ensure aquatics safety policies and procedures are upheld in accordance with YMCA standards and state/local regulations.</p><p>· Assist with branch events, swim assessments, and special aquatics activities.</p><p>· Help maintain an organized inventory of program materials and equipment.</p><p>· Maintain current certifications and participate in all required trainings and in-service sessions.</p><p>· Support the Aquatics Director with administrative tasks such as data entry, communication to members, and record keeping.</p><p>· Perform other duties as assigned to support safe and effective aquatics operation</p>",
