    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><h1>JOB SUMMARY</h1>\n<p>To act as patient advocate, providing continuity of care designed to meet individual patient needs through collaboration with other members of the health care team and supporting the philosophy, objectives and goals of the facility. The Staff nurse will assess the needs of individual patients including but not limited to adult, pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric patients.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Reports To:   Director of Nursing&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Supervises:   None&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Classification: Non-Exempt&nbsp;</p>\n<p>________________________________________________________________________&nbsp;</p>\n<p>QUALIFICATIONS:&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Degree from an accredited nursing program.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Indiana.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Minimum two years work experience as a staff nurse.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>BLS, ACLS, PALS per area assigned.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>_______________________________________________________________________&nbsp;</p>\n<h1>RESPONSIBILITIES&nbsp;&nbsp;</h1>\n<ol>\n<li dir = \"auto\">Performs assessment/data collection in an ongoing and systematic manner, focusing on physiologic, psychologic and cognitive status.&nbsp;</li>\n<li dir = \"auto\">Formulates a goal directed plan of care, which is prioritized and based on determined nursing diagnosis and patient outcomes.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>\n<li dir = \"auto\">Implements care in a knowledgeable, skilled, consistent manner in reaching the desired patient outcomes through nursing processes.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>\n<li dir = \"auto\">Establish priorities of patient care based on essential patient needs and available center resources of time, personnel, equipment and supplies.&nbsp;</li>\n<li dir = \"auto\">Performs efficiently in emergency patient situations following established protocols, remaining calm, informing appropriate persons and documenting events.&nbsp;</li>\n<li dir = \"auto\">Demonstrates applied knowledge base in areas of medical/ surgical patient care, pain assessment and actions of pharmaceuticals and anesthetic agents, laboratory values, safety and legal issues and all emergency equipment.&nbsp;</li>\n<li dir = \"auto\">Practices effective problem identification and resolution skills as a method of sound decision making.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>\n<li dir = \"auto\">Performs documentation duties on the floor and in the patient record, which is timely, accurate and concise.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>\n<li dir = \"auto\">Works as part of a team in delivering patient care.&nbsp;</li>\n<li dir = \"auto\">Attends all mandatory in-services and participates in staff meetings.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>\n<li dir = \"auto\">Remains flexible, adaptive and able to accept and implement new ideas and approaches.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>\n<li dir = \"auto\">Treats all patients equally adopting the centers Patient Rights policy.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>\n<li dir = \"auto\">Reviews and carries out physician orders in an appropriate professional manner.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>\n<li dir = \"auto\">Performs other duties as assigned.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>\n</ol>\n<p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS&nbsp;</p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"color: black;font-family: Symbol;\">·</span> The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
