Benefits may vary based on state law.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p></p>\n<h2>Job Overview</h2>\n<p>Provides assistance to physicians in the application, maintenance and removal of casts, traction, Ilizarov device and other splint or motion device as prescribed. Informs patients / families, staff and students about the use and care of casts, traction and Ilizarov devices; monitors and orders casting and traction supplies and equipment.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This position is full time, non exempt, and benefits eligible.  The pay range for this position is $20.16 - $30.25/hour. Compensation is determined based on experience and department equity. </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Performs direct and indirect patient care activities within the scope of practice of an Orthopedic Technician</li>\n <li>Performs casting, traction and Ilizarov services under the direction and supervision of an Attending Orthopedic Surgeon</li>\n <li>Demonstrates open, accurate and timely communication with patients/families and interdisciplinary team members to ensure effective therapeutic intervention. Maintains competency, adheres to standards of practice, recognizes own learning needs to maximize professional development and optimal patient care</li>\n</ul>\n<p>This is not an all-inclusive list of this job’s responsibilities. The incumbent may be required to perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>Minimum:</p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>High School Diploma/GED</li>\n <li>Orthopedic Technician experience</li>\n</ul>",
