    "description": "<p><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">LaPrairie Crane</span> is one of Canada’s largest independent mobile-crane companies with fleet capabilities ranging from 5 – 600 tons, including all terrain, boom truck, carry deck, crawler, hydraulic truck, rough terrain, and tower cranes. </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>We are seeking applications from skilled and experienced <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Mobile Crane Operators</span> who are interested in joining our growing team in </span><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Fort McMurray in Alberta.</span></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>The successful candidate will report to the Supervisor, Crane Operations and will satisfy the following criteria:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Assembling, setting up and rigging the crane properly with booms, extensions, and hook blocks </span></li>\n<li><span>Execute lifts from routine to highly complex and extra-heavy lifts</span><span></span></li>\n<li>Interpret load charts including<span> </span><span>understanding the correct meaning of all notes and warnings and being able to calculate or determine the crane's actual net capacity for every possible configuration of the machine</span></li>\n<li><span>Ensuring that the apprentice is in a safe place during operation</span><span></span></li>\n<li><span>Shutting down and securing the machine properly when it is unattended</span></li>\n<li><span>Complete and maintain accurate hours of service records, safety reports, and other work done on the crane while in the field</span><span></span></li>\n<li><span>Perform routine inspection and maintenance as required</span><br></li>\n<li>Uphold HSE regulations and be aware of<span> </span><span>any site conditions that could affect the crane operation</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Qualifications:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must be a member in good standing with the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 955</li>\n<li>Must have a local residence in Fort McMurray or must be willing to relocate to Fort McMurray (accommodation will not be provided)</li>\n<li>Red Seal Certification</li>\n<li>Class 1 Driver's License<br></li>\n<li>Experience with crane and heavy machinery operation<br></li>\n<li>Ability to interpret load charts</li>\n<li>Ability to travel</li>\n<li>Strong communication skills</li>\n<li>Ability to work well with others</li>\n<li>Dedicated work ethic</li>\n<li>First Aid Training /H2S alive / CSO<br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>",
