We encourage you to learn more about opportunities with Pioneer Metal Finishing and join our team today!</p>\n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Maintenance team members are responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks including, but not limited to, installations, equipment repairs, and building necessary support systems. This position requires a significant amount of collaboration and communication with other teams and individuals outside of the maintenance department.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Essential Info about Maintenance at Pioneer:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Work closely with other departments and individuals to investigate and solve maintenance related problems throughout all areas of the facility.</li>\n <li>Ensure vendor issues are resolved effectively and efficiently.</li>\n <li>Must be comfortable with heights (use of scissors lift is frequent), electrical equipment (rectifier work needed), and chemicals (repairs to chemical vats is frequent).</li>\n <li>Assists in maintaining department documentation, inventory, preventative maintenance schedules, and project log.</li>\n <li>Must be comfortable communicating at all levels of the organization, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and taking input from subject matter experts.</li>\n <li>Facility can become cold in the winter and quite warm in the summer months – so it’s important to be comfortable in those conditions.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>More Job Details: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Accountable for maintaining the department’s annual budget, ongoing PO processing, and vendor approval.</li>\n <li>Works with the other divisions as necessary to ensure full maintenance training and support throughout the company.</li>\n <li>Accountable for all OSHA-required safety training and administration within the department.</li>\n <li>Works on job duties and assignments as they relate to maintenance, repair, installing, fabricating, adjusting, troubleshooting, and any other maintenance duties as needed.</li>\n <li>Diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions and operating difficulties.</li>\n <li>Perform mechanical, electrical, and plumbing operations.</li>\n <li>Coordinates start-up and shutdown functions on plant equipment and facilities with Maintenance Technicians.</li>\n <li>Respond to emergency calls as needed.</li>\n <li>Works consistently to resolve cited safety issues promptly.</li>\n <li>Working safely at all times in compliance with OSHA safety and EPA regulations.</li>\n <li>Adheres to all Quality System procedures and work instructions.</li>\n <li>Maintains strong relationships with employees including continuous communication and performance feedback to recognize contributions and address performance gaps.</li>\n <li>Promotes communication and teamwork with a focus on safety, quality, efficiency, and good housekeeping throughout the plant.</li>\n <li>Works in conjunction with Human Resources on all personnel issues including performance management and necessary disciplinary actions defined in the Pioneer Metal Finishing handbook.</li>\n <li>Represents the company professionally when always interacting with customers and vendors.</li>\n <li>Identifies opportunities for improvement and potential solutions to close the gap. </li>\n <li>Engages team members in implementing process improvements.</li>\n <li>Performs other miscellaneous job duties and related functions as needed.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Work Environment</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Sharp parts, sharp tooling, heaving carts, seasonal high temperature, and humidity levels, moderate noise levels, limited hand and air tool use, compressed air (must use hearing protection).</li>\n <li>Must be able to wear respiratory protection when required.</li>\n <li>Must be able to lift 30-50 lbs. unassisted.</li>\n <li>Potential splash exposure near lines.</li>\n <li>Various chemicals are used in the process.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Education/Qualifications</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>A minimum of an associate degree in Electro-Mechanical or another related Mechanical field is preferred, but not necessary.</li>\n <li>Requires broad-based knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing, HVAC.</li>\n <li>Preferred experience with PLC (Programming Logic Controller) required.</li>\n <li>Preferred experience with VFD (Variable Frequency Drive) required.</li>\n <li>Minimum of two years of work-related experience.</li>\n <li>Blueprint and schematic knowledge required.</li>\n <li>Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely, creative manner.</li>\n <li>Lean manufacturing experience preferred.</li>\n <li>ISO certification experience preferred.</li>\n <li>Must maintain a “Hands-on” style, willing and capable of taking a lead role in technical problem-solving efforts.</li>\n <li>Keen eye for detail to identify potential issues before they escalate.</li>\n <li>Strong team player and ability to influence positive outcomes.</li>\n <li>Encouraging collaboration and fostering a positive team dynamic.</li>\n <li>Excellent written and verbal communication
