    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>Your Opportunity</strong>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>You will apply your technical skills, project delivery, and leadership to a complex array of multi-disciplinary planning, design and construction projects for municipal water/wastewater systems including process, treatment facilities, pipelines, pump stations, integrated road/water/sewer projects and related infrastructure.  The selected candidate must be self-directed, capable of leading and/or contributing to complex teams, eager to mentor staff, and should demonstrate a passion for involvement in the water/wastewater industry and an enthusiasm to help develop the practice locally.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Our ideal candidate will have experience as a consulting engineer designing water/wastewater projects for municipal or industrial clients. They will have a background in either civil, process, mechanical or chemical engineering. This role will require a balance of technical leadership, engineering, and design coordination.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>This hybrid role will be based out of our Dartmouth, NS office, from where you will work with brilliant specialists from across our North American operations. &nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>Your Key Responsibilities</strong>&nbsp;</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Work on all sizes of water and wastewater projects and participate in multi-disciplinary teams through planning, design, and construction for municipal clients.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Perform engineering design tasks on assigned projects under supervision of the Project Technical Lead or Project Manager, including engineering drawings, engineering reports, presentations, and required applications to regulatory and/or funding agencies.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>May be a design coordinator and/or assistant Project Manager.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Participate in client project requirement meetings and value analysis and cost estimating.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Involved in the permitting process of projects, which may require meetings with clients, contractors, reviewing agency personnel and governing entities.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Manage and lead junior team members while working on projects; complete tasks and delegate specific project tasks to other team members as appropriate.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Assist senior engineers/designers with developing and managing the project scope, budget, staffing and schedule.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Prepare contract documents for construction (i.e. engineering drawings and specifications).&nbsp;</li>\n <li>May conduct construction inspection services and construction administration.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>May provide services during construction that can include submittal reviews, responses to requests for information and contract document clarifications.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Participate in constructability review.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Conduct quality assurance and quality control on projects.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Assist in the development of new standards and specifications for the discipline.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Prepare portions of engineering project proposals, change orders, client contact and communication pertaining to specific projects.&nbsp;</li>\n</ul>",
