We work with the Department of War to provide the high-speed capabilities our nation and its allies need to maintain a durable, asymmetric advantage. As a GNC Engineering Intern, you will support the development of guidance, navigation, and control systems for uncrewed high-speed aircraft. This role focuses heavily on controls development, algorithm implementation, and testing. Summer: Around 12 weeks (May - August) Fall: Around 16 weeks (August - December) U.S. EXPORT CONTROL COMPLIANCE STATUS The person hired will have access to information and items subject to U.S. export controls, and therefore, must either be a “U.S. person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.62 or otherwise eligible for deemed export licensing. US persons include U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, lawful permanent residents (green card holders), and asylees and refugees with such status granted, not pending. Responsibilities: Support the design, implementation, and testing of guidance and control algorithms for uncrewed high-speed aircraft Assist in developing and tuning control laws for flight vehicle stability and performance Implement and validate control algorithms in simulation and test environments Support analysis of test data and help refine control system performance Minimum Requirements: Pursuing a degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field. Strong background in controls, dynamics, and feedback systems Experience with control system modeling and simulation Familiarity with MATLAB, Simulink, Python, or similar tools used for controls development Strong understanding of engineering first principles Demonstrated ability to work within cross-functional teams Excellent written and verbal communication skills GPA of 3.0 or above
