Utilize state-of-the-art tools and technologies to design and develop digital models of bridges, contributing to transformative infrastructure solutions. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Discover more about our pioneering Structures practice at VHB: Bridges & Structures | VHB</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Perform structural modeling and design of highway, pedestrian and railroad bridges and other structures</li>\n <li>Create plans and digital models of the bridges and highway bridge approaches</li>\n <li>Perform bridge inspections</li>\n <li>Develop construction cost estimates</li>\n <li>Prepare contract documents</li>\n <li>Review fabrication drawings and provide construction plan reviews </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Skills and Attributes </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Strong technical skills in bridge/structural design </li>\n <li>Experience developing design reports, plans, specifications, and construction cost estimates </li>\n <li>Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills</li>\n <li>Self-motivated and commitment to learning</li>\n <li>Excellent attention to detail </li>\n <li>Training and mentoring skills</li>\n <li>Effective and comfortable in a highly collaborative team environment  </li>\n <li>AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, and varied structural design software experience a strong plus</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field of study (structural emphasis preferred)</li>\n <li>5-8 years of professional structural/transportation/bridge design experience required (master’s degree may substitute for 1 year of experience)</li>\n <li>PE license required or ability to obtain within 6 months.</li>\n <li>Successful completion of NHI Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges training a plus</li>\n <li>Familiarity with structural modeling/engineering software is a plus</li>\n</ul>\n<p>The base salary range for this position is $100,000.00-$120,000.00.
