(flag rate)</strong>, Depending on your experience and certifications.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Benefits:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Closed Sundays</strong></li>\n <li>Competitive Bi-Weekly Pay</li>\n <li>Tuition Reimbursement</li>\n <li>Paid Vacation and Sick Time</li>\n <li>6 Paid Holidays</li>\n <li>Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance </li>\n <li>Life Insurance (Company paid)</li>\n <li>401(k) Retirement Savings Plan with Company Match</li>\n <li>Discounted Services on Personal and Immediate Family Vehicles</li>\n <li>Opportunity for Advancement!!!</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Principal Duties and Responsibilities</strong><strong>:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Diagnoses vehicles according to the appropriate level of certifications/experience.</li>\n <li>Performs work as outlined on the Multi-point Inspection and/or Repair Order with efficiency and accuracy</li>\n <li>Performs complex and heavy-duty repairs</li>\n <li>Explains technical diagnosis and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include the Store Manager, Service Consultants and/or customers</li>\n <li>Recommends services that are necessary to keep the customer’s vehicle in running condition; properly documents all recommendations in customer file</li>\n <li>Follows all safety procedures and reports any concerns to direct supervisor</li>\n <li>Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends as needed. But never Sundays! Other duties as assigned by direct supervisor </li>\n <li>Adheres to Sun Auto’s core values, all company policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications</strong><strong>:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Previous automotive technician / mechanic experience required</li>\n <li>ASE certifications in lieu of experience</li>\n <li>Ability to demonstrate proper use of computerized equipment for diagnostics</li>\n <li>Valid Driver’s license</li>\n <li>Must be at least 18 years of age</li>\n <li>Possess State Inspector License or ability to obtain a State Inspector license (in applicable locations) within 30 days of hire date</li>\n <li>High School Diploma or equivalent; Technical School experience preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Working Conditions and Physical Demands: </strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The <strong>Senior Automotive Technician</strong> will be exposed to moderate to loud noises, dust, exhaust fumes, lubricants, petroleum products, vapors, caustic materials, and other hazardous and non-hazardous materials. The temperature in the work environment varies and could include extreme heat and/or extreme cold depending on the ambient temperatures outside.
