Our team approach to education creates a collaborative, supportive and open environment within our community. <strong>We are currently seeking part-time DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONALS for our residential program in Walpole to work 2<sup>nd</sup> and 3<sup>rd</sup> shifts on weekends. Other shifts may also be available. Starting pay rate is $22.00 - $26.00/hour, depending on years of experience and level of education completed.</strong><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Position Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>Must have HS diploma and preferably a Bachelor&rsquo;s degree; or be in an undergraduate course of study, preferably special education, education, psychology, human services or social work.&nbsp;</li><li>Prior experience caring for children in a residential setting required; autism experience preferred.</li><li>Safety Care, CPR and First Aid certifications (training will be provided if you do not have these currently).</li><li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license.</li><li>Must pass rigorous background checks, including nationwide fingerprint screening.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Supervision Received: &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</strong>Program Manager, Assistant Residential Manager</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities</strong> <strong>include the following:</strong></p><ol><li>Assist students in all areas including life skills, community trips, personal health care, social and recreational activities.&nbsp;</li><li>Support the students by helping to prepare healthy meals and keeping the properties safe and clean.&nbsp;</li><li>Must have good organization skills and be a creative problem solver.</li><li>Must be able to document all incidents and communicate effectively with clients, families, co-workers and supervisors.&nbsp;</li><li>All shifts require that staff be awake and alert at all times.</li><li>New hires must be available for regularly scheduled weekend work.</li><li>Work collaboratively with all school staff members to coordinate support for students.</li><li>Transport students in League School vans, as needed.</li></ol><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Computer Skills:</strong></p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong>To perform this job successfully, an individual should have working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Google Mail.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Benefits:</strong></p><p>League School offers a substantial full-time benefit package that includes 75% employer paid health and dental, short and long-term disability insurance, life insurance, tuition assistance of up to $5,000 per school year, 403(b) retirement plan with employer match, professional development opportunities, as well as paid vacation, sick and personal days.
