Description
The Manufacturing Engineer at Hyper Solutions is responsible for supporting and optimizing manufacturing operations across a network of U.S.-based contract manufacturing partners. This role focuses on driving process efficiency, cost effectiveness, and quality performance for mission-critical electrical power distribution products.
Working closely with internal Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain teams, this position provides technical leadership to contract manufacturers, supports new product introductions and production ramp-ups, and drives continuous improvement initiatives to ensure scalable, compliant, and high-performing manufacturing processes.
Core Responsibilities
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with contract manufacturers across the U.S. Provide technical support and guidance to manufacturing partners to ensure process capability, quality, and compliance with Hyper standards. Lead process audits, supplier evaluations, and production readiness assessments. Develop and maintain production work instructions, inspection procedures, and training materials. Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and structured problem-solving methodologies. Support production start-ups, first article builds, and process validation activities. Analyze manufacturing costs and capital requirements; provide recommendations for cost reduction and investment. Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain on process improvements, yield, and reliability initiatives. Additional Responsibilities
Support root cause analysis and corrective action for complex production and quality issues. Assist with design-for-manufacturability and design-for-assembly reviews. Support documentation and standardization of manufacturing and inspection processes. Provide on-site support at contract manufacturer locations for training, audits, and ramp-up activities.
