Train and mentor Supervisor I associates to maximize their supervisory skills.</p>\n<p>Education and Experience:&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>\n<ul>\n <li>High School Diploma or GED required. &nbsp;</li>\n <li>Candidate must meet one (1) of the three (3) criteria below:&nbsp;</li>\n</ul>\n<ol>\n <li>One (1) year First Solar supervisory experience&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Four (4) years supervisory experience in a manufacturing production setting, warehouse, textile, agricultural or material inspection capacity</li>\n <li>Six (6) years supervisory experience &amp;#43; two (2) years of experience in a manufacturing production setting, warehouse, textile, agricultural or material inspection capacity</li>\n</ol>\n<p>Required Skills/Competencies:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience in electrical, mechanical, and chemical industrial applications</li>\n <li>Experience and working knowledge of continuous improvement tools.</li>\n <li>Effective communication and supervisory skills</li>\n <li>Efficient Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Skills&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Proven decision-making skills.</li>\n <li>Solid people skills and a positive, outgoing attitude&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Excellent organizational and planning skills.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>The ideal candidate should have the ability to think outside the box and to develop unique and timely solutions.</li>\n <li>If assigned to coater area: knowledge of vacuum systems and laser operations.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Essential Responsibilities:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Directly supervises the daily production of Photovoltaic modules in accordance with required quality standards and in a cost-efficient manner in multiple areas of the plant.</li>\n <li>Lead, manage and participate in continuous improvement activities/teams.</li>\n <li>Will assume delegate responsibilities for Shift Manager as required.</li>\n <li>Train and mentor Supervisor I associates.</li>\n <li>Responsible for controlling costs to maintain budget accuracy.</li>\n <li>Monitors and coordinates Work In Process (WIP) optimization between manufacturing units for each process</li>\n <li>Monitors and maintains training matrix in SolarConnect in coordination with Manufacturing Supervisors I and Manufacturing Specialist&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Support all safety procedures and good housekeeping standards, including our 5S system.</li>\n <li>Coordinate on-the-job training of manufacturing associates.</li>\n <li>Identify training opportunities to develop and maintain a highly motivated and capable team.</li>\n <li>Maintain all associate records in Solar Connect&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Effective use of internal manufacturing software for production tracking</li>\n <li>Maintain accurate time keeping for manufacturing associates in the Kronos system.</li>\n <li>Maintains product inventory accuracy.</li>\n <li>Utilize Theory of Constraints (TOC) methodology to maximize throughput.</li>\n <li>Effectively interfaces with other departments.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Support efforts to consistently exceed customer expectations.</li>\n <li>Coordinate with Manufacturing Specialist and other supervisors on day-to-day issues&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Evaluate and monitor manufacturing processes ensuring cycle time is being met.</li>\n <li>Responsible for eliminating downtime constraints in assigned area (e.g.: find root cause and resolve the issue, effectively utilize support teams to improve quality and production).</li>\n <li>Monitor and maintain training guides and track training progress of team.</li>\n <li>Conduct performance appraisals.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Reporting Relationships:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Reports directly to the Manager, Shift&nbsp;</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Travel:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Up to 10% of global travel is expected.</li>\n <li>If hired during plant start up, you will be expected to travel to other First Solar locations for training.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Estimated Salary Range:&nbsp;</p>\n<ul>\n <li>$62,500 - $89,000, Annually</li>\n</ul>\n<p>US Physical Requirements:&nbsp;</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Will sit, stand, or walk short distances for up to 12 hours per day.</li>\n <li>Will climb stairs or steps on a frequent basis.</li>\n <li>Will lift up to 58 pounds on an occasional basis, according to work instruction.</li>\n <li>Will lift up to 37 pounds on a frequent basis.</li>\n <li>Will push or pull up to 50 pounds of force on an occasional basis.</li>\n <li>Will push or pull up to 37 pounds of force on a frequent basis.</li>\n <li>Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects on a frequent basis.</li>\n <li>20/40 vision in both eyes (with or without correction) and the ability to distinguish between red, yellow, and green is required.</li>\n <li>May reach above shoulder heights and below the waist on a frequent basis.</li>\n <li>May stoop, kneel, or bend, on an occasional basis.</li>\n <li>Must comply with all safety standards and procedures.</li>\n <li>Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required (including, but not limited to: steel-toed shoes, cut-resistant gloves, jackets, aprons &amp;/or arm guards, safety glasses or goggles, hearing protection &amp;
