We aim to make “family” a core reason we attract incredible people, retain them, and collectively deliver unequaled quality and service to customers.  If your heart and mind are pushing you to join a team who deeply desires to be the best in the world, has a long-game approach to business, prides itself on doing exceptional work, celebrates service to others, and is willing to invest in you, you should consider Pref-Tech.</p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Position Overview:</span></p>\n<p>A Design Estimator at Pref-Tech is responsible for supporting Sales &amp; Design Professionals (SDP’s) in the construction of estimates for assigned projects based on Preferred Technologies estimation standards.</p>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Lead, manage and assume accountability for assigned sales projects and sales tasks.</span></li>\n<li><span>Meet regularly with SDP’s and Project Managers to determine and prioritize the </span><span>company’s design estimation needs.</span></li>\n<li><span>Be able to present designs to SDP’s, Operations, and to the end user as needed</span></li>\n<li><span>Go on site visits to determine customer needs, with or without SDP’s.</span></li>\n<li><span>Enter high security areas which may require immediate background checks.</span></li>\n<li><span>Continuously develop sales &amp; design skills &amp; certifications.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Required Qualifications:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor’s degree preferred</li>\n<li>High School Diploma or GED Equivalent</li>\n<li>At least 2 years of design estimation experience, with preference of those years spent in the general construction and/or specialty trade contracting industries</li>\n<li>Experience with REVU20, Bluebeam software</li>\n<li>Experience with AutoCAD</li>\n<li>Ability to review and interpret blueprints</li>\n<li>Exceptional written and verbal communication skills</li>\n<li>Experience and confidence with public speaking and presenting to audiences</li>\n<li>Ability to hold others accountable to completing their assigned tasks, even if they hold positions of greater responsibility</li>\n<li>Fluency with Microsoft Office 365 software tools</li>\n<li>Willingness to take on new challenges and build on current skills</li>\n<li>Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills</li>\n<li>Capacity to work independently and collaboratively</li>\n<li>Ability to work efficiently without compromising quality or accuracy<br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Preferred Qualifications:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience in general construction and/or specialty trade contracting industries</li>\n<li>Experience with AutoCAD</li>\n<li>Fluency with Microsoft Office 365 software tools</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Benefits:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Competitive Salary</span></li>\n<li>Inclusion in Operational Incentive Program, which shares excess profits as bonuses</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">401K </span><span>Safe Harbor Plan with matching dollar-for-dollar up to 4% of annual gross salary (Traditional and Roth options available)</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Health, dental, vision and other elective insurances</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Work Hours:  </span></p>\n<p>Standard workdays and times are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. About 80% of the Design Estimator work can be done remotely. The remaining 20% will include in-person activities such as meetings, networking events, etc. Some travel will be required.</p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Physical Requirement:  </span></p>\n<p>This position is primarily office-based and requires the ability to sit for extended periods, operate a computer and standard office equipment, and communicate effectively in person and electronically. Occasional light lifting (up to 15 lbs.) may be required.
