    "description": "<h2>Min</h2>USD $15.75/Hr.\n<h2>Max</h2>USD $22.52/Hr.\n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>Join Our Team at Springfield Memorial Hospital!</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Are you looking for a meaningful role where you can make a difference every day?</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> As an <strong>Environmental Services Technician</strong>, you’ll play an essential part in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our patients, visitors, and staff.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>In this role, you’ll be responsible for daily cleaning and restocking throughout the hospital and its facilities, following the standards set by our Environmental Services and Infection Prevention and Control departments.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>These positions <strong>do require an every-other-weekend commitment</strong> as part of our regular scheduling.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>We currently have <strong>multiple shifts available</strong>. (Openings are reviewed regularly based on the needs of the department and are subject to change.)</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>To review Memorial's Benefits click here: Benefits - Memorial HR</strong></p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Education:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma or equivalent preferred.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Other Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to lift objects and climb ladders.</li>\n <li>Moderate physical effort required.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Understands how soiling occurs and the difference between soluble and insoluble soils, and the cleaning process involved.</li>\n <li>Maintains a clean, stocked, and organized cleaning cart and Environmental Services closet per department policy.</li>\n <li>Knowledgeable about the specific use of Environmental Services chemicals and their dilution rates.</li>\n <li>Performs dust mopping and wet/microfiber mopping on hard surface floors.</li>\n <li>Vacuums carpeted areas using an upright vacuum cleaner.</li>\n <li>Handles and disposes of all waste streams, including regulated waste in the hospital.</li>\n <li>Cleans and handles intravenous pumps (IV or Sigma Smart Pumps).</li>\n <li>Cleans in-patient rooms daily.</li>\n <li>Implements A.I.D.E.T. (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Explanation, Thank You) and Greet and Feet techniques, understanding their impact on patient surveys.</li>\n <li>Performs discharge and transfer cleaning in both in-patient and out-patient settings.</li>\n <li>Follows isolation cleaning procedures, using appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).</li>\n <li>Responsible for cleaning offices, conference rooms, and furniture arrangement.</li>\n <li>Proficient in cleaning procedures for laboratory settings.</li>\n <li>Routinely cleans public and non-public restrooms and locker rooms.</li>\n <li>Conducts between-case and terminal cleaning in special procedure areas.</li>\n <li>Cleans the pharmacy clean (IV) room.</li>\n <li>Reports facility repair issues (e.g., wall patching, ceiling tiles, leaks) to leadership and submits work orders as needed.</li>\n <li>Maintains all equipment (cleaning carts, vacuums, pagers) following department guidelines.</li>\n <li>Performs general maintenance of hard and soft flooring.</li>\n <li>Adheres to safety procedures with chemicals and equipment use; reports discrepancies.</li>\n <li>Reports injuries to leadership and submits appropriate injury reports.</li>\n <li>Completes all duties proficiently and within designated time frames.</li>\n <li>Participates in required training, meetings, and completes annual learning modules on time.</li>\n <li>Familiar with departmental policies and procedures, monitoring communication boards.</li>\n <li>Performs other related work as required or requested.</li>\n</ul>",
