Description

Job Summary: Is responsible for providing instruction to fitness exercise class(es). Must be trained & certified in appropriate fitness exercise program. Must be able to utilize a wide variety of exercise equipment. Physical: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. While performing the duties of this job, staff members are regularly required to talk or hear. The staff member frequently is required to stand; walk; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The staff member is occasionally required to sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell. The staff member must occasionally lift and/or move more than 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Job Specification: Education: Certifications in appropriate field Equipment: Variety of exercise equipment Experience: Trained & certified fitness exercise instruction Working Condition: Provide exercise instruction for long periods of time Essential Responsibilities: Must be capable of providing instruction by demonstration Must be trained & certified in appropriate exercise instruction Must be able to effectively utilize exercise equipment Must provide quality exercise instruction To perform all other duties as assigned
