Description

Overview THE ROLE: The Supervisor, Inventory Control, will lead and coordinate of allInventory-related activities within the distribution center. This position is responsible for maintainingan inventory accuracy level of 99.5% or better and the timely receipt of all vendor deliveries as wellas replenishment of all picking locations to support the shipping department. The individual mustbe adaptable to changes in the external environment and the organization.This position may occasionally travel domestically and internationally to support warehouse operations atCompany levels. HOW YOU WOULD CONTRIBUTE: • Supervise scheduled physical inventory, random audits and daily cycle counts to ensureinventory accuracy within the warehouse is at or above established standards.• Analyze and reconcile all variances reported from physical inventory, random audits and thedaily cycle count process, and others reported from daily operations in a timely manner.• Supervise daily receiving activities, pick line replenishment and coordinatewarehouseperson coverage as needed for various warehouse departments, monitordepartmental procedures making sure they are followed to ensure accurate recording ofinventory movement and completion of daily assignments.• Effectively communicate to all related departments all inventory related issues, concerns andupdates to ensure feedback and/or instructions are received in a timely manner and accomplishedaccordingly.• Travel to other Herbalife locations as needed to assist in any inventory-relatedfunction.• Conduct regular meetings with team to identify and discuss relevant staff issues,safety matters and procedural changes.• Hire, train, instruct, lead and evaluate department employees as required to maintainsatisfactory warehouse operations. Monitor work performance of department employeesproviding corrective counseling and/or disciplinary action as necessary. Provide a workingenvironment conducive to employee performance and growth through internal crosstraining and company sponsored courses.• Prepare a variety of company forms and documents as required for job evaluations,performance appraisals and/or other actions.• Administer company policies and maintain departmental conformance with companypractices and regulations.Page 2• Other duties as assigned. Job Qualifications SKILLS AND BACKGROUND REQUIRED TO BE SUCCESSFUL: • Minimum 5 years’ experience in all aspects of warehouse operations including inventorycontrol, receiving, assembly, quality control and shipping and supervisory experience• Knowledge and experience with Inventory Management Systems (Oracle 11i)• Ability to format clear and concise reports from raw data by using spreadsheets• Ability to properly perform inventory reconciliation and identify potential inventory issuesand impact to the operation.• Experience with Radio Frequency Bar Coding System• Preferred Forklift CertificationSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: (Share supervisory duties, if applicable)Internal team– Inventory Control Coordinators, Receiving Lead, Replenishers, ForkliftOperator and Warehouse-persons.• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, andPowerPoint• Excellent mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills• Committed to project resolution and utilization of initiative to achieve positive results• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to partnerand be a standout colleague while maintaining outstanding customer service. • Ability to prioritize job tasks in order of changing priority and in a deadline-driven, fast environment.• High degree of integrity; able to handle confidential information with absolute discretion.• Strong initiative (drive, sense of urgency) and flexibility.• Exceptional interpersonal skills• Must be empathic, have excellent time management skills, and have a consistent record to remaincalm when conflicting priorities arise.• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
