The successful candidate will join our talented team of 80+ in our beautiful Auburn Hills, Michigan office with the opportunity to work globally.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><u><strong>Job Summary</strong></u><strong>:</strong></p><p>A successful candidate will possess strong machine design skills and hold responsibility for innovative mechanical design of part fixtures, robotic EOAT&rsquo;s, and or electro-mechanical devices. These designs will be utilized in our robotic metal finishing applications, by performing the following duties.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>Responsibilities</u></strong></p><ul><li>Design new heads, indexers and enclosures. &nbsp;</li><li>Design complex tooling, fixtures, and robotic end-of-arm tooling used in the aerospace, firearm, and medical industries.</li><li>Design production tooling and or fixtures used in the metal finishing industry.</li><li>Utilize engineering principles and standard engineering tools to take existing early design concepts through to production.</li><li>Modify designs using CAD software tools.</li><li>Participates in design/manufacturing reviews to resolve issues and institute improvements as opportunities arise.</li><li>Generate 3D solid models for geometry of fixture and tooling concepts as well as 2D detailed drawings.</li><li>Executes and documents design revisions and drawing releases.</li><li>Provide periodic updates to management (tooling status reports, projects summaries, costs, etc.)</li><li>Work with internal and external tool suppliers to ensure that final builds meet design and functionality intent and are produced at expected cost.</li></ul><p><strong><u>Skills Required</u></strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Seasoned knowledge of design principles of machine tool design and construction</li><li>Advanced user of CAD software tools (preferably Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD) as well as the Microsoft Office suite of programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).</li><li>Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fundamentals of plane and solid geometry, addition, subtraction, multiplication, fractions, percentages, ratios, and trigonometry.</li><li>Excellent critical thinker and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.</li><li>Ability to reason and apply common sense to carry out instructions given verbally or written.</li><li>Ability to work well with others</li></ul><p><strong><u>Experience / Qualifications</u></strong></p><ul><li>A bachelor&rsquo;s degree in a related field from an accredited four-year college or university or equivalent work experience consisting of a minimum of five years of experience as a Design Engineer in the machine tool industry</li></ul><p><br></p></div></div></div></div></div></div></div>\n",
