    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><p><link href=\"https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/npm/[email protected]/css/froala_style.min.css\" rel=\"stylesheet\" type=\"text/css\"><strong><u>Position Summary:</u></strong></p><div><div><div><div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><p>Diesel Truck/Tractor, Trailer and forklift mechanic providing maintenance for MEI fleet of forklifts (6k lb. to Versa Lift 60/80k) Peterbilt and KW tractors and Landoll/KS RGN flatbed trailers.</p><p><strong><u>Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:</u></strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Mid-level mechanic work on diesel vehicles, routine PM service, brake service and hydraulic systems.</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Determines vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests, identifying worn and damaged parts.</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Basic knowledge of operating equipment (Forklifts, man lifts, mobile platform lifts, etc.)</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Keeps equipment available for use by completing preventive maintenance schedules; installing component and part upgrades; controlling corrosion; completing winterization procedures.</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Verifies vehicle performance by conducting test drives, adjusting controls and systems.</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Maintains vehicle records by annotating services and repairs.</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Keeps shop equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for extensive and complex repairs.</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Contains costs by using warranty, evaluating service and parts options.</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Enhances maintenance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and differentrequests;exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Complete housekeeping duties in assigned area or project area daily and/or when.</li></ul><p><strong><u>Minimum Qualifications (Experience, Skills, and Education):</u></strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">High School Diploma or GED equivalent</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Minimum two (2) years proven fleet mechanic experience (Heavy Equipment and Vehicles)</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Minimum of 1year of intermediate skills working in Microsoft office (Excel, Word, Outlook)</li></ul><p><strong><u>Preferred Qualifications (Experience, Skills, and Education)</u></strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Construction industry experience</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Ability to use precision measuring tools and equipment, hand, power, and pneumatic tools.</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Rigging experience</li></ul><p><strong><u>Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:</u></strong></p><p>While performing the duties of this job, the employee may frequently climb ladders or stairs, stand; walk; sit; lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; use fingers and hands to adjust straps, move equipment and perform daily duties; reach with hands and arms; pull handles and grasp equipment; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
