We use rigorous academic research to prove that worker well-being programs have business impacts. We develop market-ready, scalable interventions that benefit both workers and businesses. Ltd., and Anant Nyshadham- Assistant Professor of Business Economics and Public Policy at the University of Michigan (<a href=\"http://www.anantnyshadham.com/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">www.anantnyshadham.com</a>).</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Role:</span> Field Consultant</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Location:</span> <span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt\">Coimbatore/Tiruppur</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Position Type:</span> </span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Contract-based full-time role</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Contract Duration</span> - </span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">3 months (extension on need basis)</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Remuneration: <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">INR 30000 - 50000 per month</span></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(31, 31, 31); font-size: 10pt\">The Field Consultant will support the study across the design, data collection, and analysis phases by coordinating field activities with MSMEs, facilitating surveys and energy audits, translating and contextualizing research materials, conducting and documenting interviews, and assisting the research team with transcription, data analysis, and preparation of final study outputs on technology adoption, energy efficiency, and worker well-being.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">What will you do </span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-style: italic; font-weight: bold\">(areas that will play to your strength and all the responsibilities we will trust you with)</span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(31, 31, 31); font-size: 10pt\">Support required in the design phase: <br></span><span style=\"color: rgb(31, 31, 31); font-size: 10pt\">1. Consultant would be expected to attend training on survey instruments. <br>2. Consultant would be required to translate all relevant material required for data collection in different factories in Tamil/Hindi. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(31, 31, 31); font-size: 10pt\">Support required in the data collection phase: Support GBL team with data collection <br>1. Schedule meeting/audits with MSMEs shortlisted for the study: This will require regular coordination with relevant stakeholders in the MSMEs shortlisted for the study. <br>2. Surveys with decision makers and workers: GBL team would like to conduct surveys with the firms’ decision makers and workers to understand their existing state of technology, preferences regarding energy efficiency, and different aspects of worker well-being. The duration of these surveys will be 1-2 hours per respondent in a factory. <br>- The consultant would be expected to schedule the meetings for these surveys and coordinate with the firm on the same. <br>- The consultant would also be required to share comments on the survey instruments to ensure they are contextualized. <br>- The consultant would be required to take notes during the surveys and maintain detailed field notes. <br>- The consultant would be required to conduct surveys with some respondents.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(31, 31, 31); font-size: 10pt\">Detailed energy audit: GBL with support from an energy auditing firm wants to conduct a detailed energy audit. This usually takes multiple visits. <br>-The consultant would be expected to schedule the visits for this audit and coordinate with the firm on the same. <br>-The consultant would be expected to schedule the visit for the final presentation/workshop with 3 MSMEs after the audit reports are ready. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(31, 31, 31); font-size: 10pt\">Support required in the analysis phase: <br>1.Consultant to support in transcribing and translating the interview transcripts into English. <br>2. Consultant to support associates during data analysis and in reviewing the recommendations</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Who are you? Ideally, you have </span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-style: italic; font-weight: bold\">(The areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role):</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(31, 31, 31); font-size: 10pt\">Bachelor's or Master's degree in Public Health, Gender Studies, Social Work, or a related field.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(31, 31, 31); font-size: 10pt\">Proven experience in qualitative data collection, such as in-depth interviews and Focus group discussions. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(31, 31, 31); font-size: 10pt\">Excellent communication, training, and interpersonal skills.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(31, 31, 31); font-size: 10pt\">Strong organisational and project management abilities. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(31, 31, 31); font-size: 10pt\">Proficiency in relevant computer skills like experience in Microsoft Word and MS Excel. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(31, 31, 31); font-size: 10pt\">Ability to work independently and as part of a team. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(31, 31, 31); font-size: 10pt\">Flexibility to travel to project sites and communities as required. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(31, 31, 31); font-size: 10pt\">Previous experience working with MSMEs will be an added advantage.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(31, 31, 31); font-size: 10pt\">Ability to read, write and converse in Tamil &amp; English.
