    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\"><strong>Position Description:</strong></span></p><p style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\">Nevada Gold Mines is looking for a Senior Environmental Engineer to join our team at the Phoenix operation and play a key role in protecting the environment while supporting safe and responsible mining operations. In this role, you’ll lead environmental programs that manage <strong>air, water, land, waste, and reclamation activities</strong>, while mentoring junior team members and working closely with operations, engineering, and regulatory agencies.</span></p><p style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\">As a senior member of the environmental team, you’ll help guide day-to-day compliance activities, oversee permitting and reporting, manage environmental risks, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts that support safe, sustainable mining.</span></p><p style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\">At Nevada Gold Mines, we believe in developing our people, fostering a safe and sustainable workplace, and making a lasting impact in the communities where we operate. If you’re looking to build your career in environmental compliance and be part of a dynamic team, this role is for you.</span></p><p><strong>Responsibilities:&nbsp;</strong></p><p>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Manages all aspects of the site’s reclamation permits including the preparation of regulatory reports, reclamation cost model updates, as well as assisting with reclamation permit modifications.<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Review and update site Trust Funds.<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Ensures compliance with regards to the site’s Plan of Operations and corresponding U.S. Bureau of Land Management Record of Decisions.<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Manages the site’s cultural resource programs including the oversight of cultural resource surveys and the development and execution of cultural mitigation plans, as needed.<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Participates in regulatory inspections.&nbsp;<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Assists with the development of Plan of Operations amendments and the completion of associated NEPA permitting activities.<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Maintains accurate records of agency correspondence and environmental monitoring data.<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Acts as a liaison between the mine and environmental regulatory agencies.<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Develops, maintains, and updates environmental management plans, as necessary.<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Plans and tracks reclamation activities in coordination with the site’s mine engineering personnel.<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Manages contractors to ensure the safe delivery of project objectives.<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Ensures conformance with internal mine closure standards.<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Assists with providing guidance and training to employees and contractors regarding environmental obligations.<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Aligns work practices with Environmental ISO 14001 and Occupational Health and Safety 45001 standards.<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Responsible for periodic, after-hours on-call response to environmental incidents, as needed.&nbsp;<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Performs other duties as assigned.&nbsp;<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Manages budgets, including the development, forecasting, and tracking of reclamation/closure costs.<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Coordinates with supply chain personnel to procure contractor and consultant services, as needed.</p><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><p><br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, environmental science, environmental studies, hydrology, hydrogeology, mine engineering, ecology or related field - <strong>required</strong><br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Five (5) years direct experience managing environmental compliance programs and projects, with a minimum of three (3) years in an industrial setting - <strong>required</strong><br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Strong computer skills including experience with PowerPoint, Word and Excel - <strong>required</strong><br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills - <strong>required</strong><br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously - <strong>required</strong><br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with others - <strong>required</strong><br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Ability to identify and implement opportunities for improvement - <strong>required</strong><br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;General understanding of mining operations -
