As a technical mentor you will be expected to be in the office, on average, three days a week.</p>\n<p><strong>Your Key Responsibilities</strong></p>\n<p><strong>DO: Project Delivery</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Serve as Project Manager or Technical Lead for water infrastructure projects with responsibility for providing project oversight and leadership</li>\n <li>Provide technical management and leadership for projects in the Northeast region and occasionally for projects in other parts of the country and world, performing a variety of tasks to plan, execute and deliver the completed project</li>\n <li>Plan, organize, and manage the production of project deliverables to ensure on time delivery, technical quality and within budget</li>\n <li>Perform civil conveyance design for water and storm and sanitary sewer projects, from preliminary design to detailed design, bidding and construction inspection, with consideration for minimizing impacts and constraints due to environmental and permitting requirements.</li>\n <li>Preparation and guidance of engineering calculations, design drawings, technical specifications, and construction documents.</li>\n <li>Preparation of proposals and technical reports as technical lead of the project team</li>\n <li>Prepare technical evidenced proposals as project issues arise with clients, contractors, equipment suppliers/vendors or reviewing agencies.</li>\n <li>Execute multiple concurrent projects efficiently</li>\n <li>Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, design calculations, write engineering reports, and select design criteria</li>\n <li>Conduct alternative analyses to support business case evaluations for project decisions</li>\n <li>Effectively apply industry standards as well as client standards and requirements</li>\n <li>Work with project teams to coordinate permits for projects, which may require meetings with clients, contractors, utility companies, and reviewing and permitting governmental agencies</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>BUILD: Supervise and Mentor Young Professionals</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Mentor developing professionals to guide their career development objectives</li>\n <li>Review team’s work and provide technical guidance on design approach and challenges</li>\n <li>Perform on technically complex projects and act as a technical resource by providing guidance to other team members</li>\n <li>Recognize when technical problems develop and initiate guidance for corrective actions</li>\n <li>Provide technical support to the Business Center Practice Leader to further the growth of Stantec’s business</li>\n <li>Conduct work in a safe manner and promote health and safety within the office and outside of the office while visiting clients and job sites</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>WIN: Support Business Development Activities</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Assist the Business Center Practice Leader with developing technical approaches for Statements of Qualifications and Proposals and assist with preparing the technical aspects for project interviews conducted by clients</li>\n <li>Develop positive relationships with clients, earn their confidence and become their trusted adviser</li>\n <li>Participate in local and national professional associations such as Sections of the American Water Works Association, the Water Environment Federation and/or Society of American Military Engineers. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
