    "description": "<h2>What's the role?</h2>As a Senior Architecture Manager (ArcGIS Enterprise Architect), you will define and evolve the architecture of our ArcGIS Enterprise platform running on AWS EKS-based Kubernetes infrastructure. You will play a key role in ensuring scalability, reliability, security, and long-term sustainability of the platform while enabling teams to build GIS and analytics applications on top of it.This is a senior individual contributor role with high visibility and strategic impact, partnering closely with engineering and platform teams.\n<strong>In this role, you will:</strong>\n<ul>\n <li>Own and evolve the reference architecture for ArcGIS Enterprise deployments on Kubernetes</li>\n <li>Define scalable, resilient, and cost-efficient platform designs, including high availability and disaster recovery strategies</li>\n <li>Provide architectural guidance across key ArcGIS components (Portal, ArcGIS Server, Data Stores, Web Adaptors)</li>\n <li>Establish best practices for authentication, authorization, identity integration, and platform security</li>\n <li>Partner with DevOps and platform engineering teams to ensure solutions are production-ready and operationally sound</li>\n <li>Guide application teams on architecture decisions and ensure alignment with platform capabilities and constraints</li>\n <li>Define and promote non-functional requirements such as scalability, performance, reliability, and observability</li>\n <li>Contribute to governance by documenting architecture standards, identifying risks, and influencing platform roadmap decisions</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Who are you?</h2>You are an experienced architect with a strong foundation in cloud-native systems, distributed platforms, and GIS technologies. You bring a structured approach to problem-solving and enjoy influencing technical direction while collaborating across teams.\n<strong>To be successful, you bring:</strong>\n<ul>\n <li>Hands-on experience designing and operating ArcGIS Enterprise in production environments</li>\n <li>Experience building and scaling enterprise systems on Kubernetes-based platforms (e.g., AWS EKS, AKS)</li>\n <li>Strong understanding of distributed systems and cloud-native architecture principles</li>\n <li>Experience designing for scalability, high availability, disaster recovery, and cost efficiency</li>\n <li>Ability to guide and influence application teams on architecture and non-functional requirements</li>\n <li>Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across engineering, platform, and business stakeholders</li>\n <li>Interest or experience in GIS analytics, data-intensive applications, or large-scale platform environments</li>\n <li>Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD practices, and observability concepts<p> </p></li>\n</ul>\n<p>The expected base salary range for this position is $170,000 to $215,000 per year. Actual compensation will be based on factors such as skills and experience.
