    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><p data-pasted=\"true\"><strong>Position Overview:&nbsp;</strong></p><p data-pasted=\"true\"><strong>The Head Coach of Field Hockey</strong> is responsible for providing leadership, oversight, and strategic direction for all aspects of the field hockey program. This includes the effective organization and administration of coaching, instruction, and skill development; recruitment and retention of student‑athletes; budget planning; scheduling; equipment purchasing; facility coordination; and fostering positive public relations and community engagement. The Head Coach ensures full compliance with all NCAA, conference, and institutional policies and regulations.</p><p>In addition to coaching responsibilities, this position supports academic coordination for student‑athletes by promoting academic success, monitoring progress, and collaborating with campus resources to enhance the overall student‑athlete experience.</p><p>The role also includes athletic event management responsibilities outside the traditional field hockey season, assisting with the planning, coordination, and execution of home athletic contests and special events to ensure a positive and well‑organized game‑day environment.</p><p><strong>Education:</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree from a four-year college or university, Master&rsquo;s Degree preferred.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Experience:</strong></p><ul><li>One to two years previous coaching experience and/or training and competitive background indicative of the ability to coach successfully in a NCAA Division III liberal arts college environment. &nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Licenses/Certifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Current and valid driver&rsquo;s license.</li></ul><p><strong>Work Related Knowledge:</strong></p><ul><li>Working knowledge of the NCAA rules and regulations.</li></ul><p>(Equivalent combinations of education, licenses, certifications and/or experience may be considered.)</p><p>Misericordia University is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position.
