Shifts will be scheduled Monday through Friday, between 8am-4:30pm </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Cast Technician will provide assistance to the medical staff in the application, maintenance and removal of casts, traction and other splint or motion devices as ordered. Informs patients/families, staff and students about the use and care of casts and traction devices. </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Maintains cast room and supplies.</li>\n <li><p>Applies holding casts or splints per physician protocol. </p></li>\n <li><p>Assists the physician with cast application. </p></li>\n <li><p>Ability to interrelate with children and families.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<p>This is not an all-inclusive list of this job’s responsibilities. The incumbent may be required to perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Preferred:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Casting experience</li>\n <li>Scheduling experience </li>\n <li>Computer knowledge</li>\n <li>Basic Life Support (BLS)</li>\n</ul>\n<p><em>Shriners Children’s is an EOE/Drug-Free, Smoke-Free Workplace.</em></p>",
