    "description": "<h2>Practice</h2>\n<p>Alburnett Veterinary Service is a well-established full-service animal hospital in Alburnett, Iowa, providing comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care. AVS was established in the early 1980s, and our current facility was constructed in 1989.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Our facility includes a well-stocked pharmacy, an in-hospital surgery suite, an in-house X-ray, updated dental unit with digital dental radiographs, heated surgical table, ultrasound, blood chemistry capabilities, and a closely supervised hospitalization area. We pride ourselves on maintaining a clean and quiet atmosphere for our clients and their four-legged friends.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>As our industry demands more, AVS is ready to meet it. We are excited to offer walk-in/same-day appointments for both wellness and urgent care needs.</p>\n<h2>Position Purpose</h2>\n<p>Come extern with us!Heartland Veterinary Partners' Externship Program works to provide 1st-4th year veterinary students with hands-on experience and mentorship to help have them 'practice ready' by their first day in practice. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Externships are typically 2 weeks long and Heartland will cover the cost of lodging if needed.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Length of externship is flexible & we can support your preceptorship documentation as well.</p>\n<h2>Requirements/Qualifications</h2>\n<p><u>Eligibility</u></p>\n<p>Must be currently enrolled in an AVMA Accredited Veterinary School</p>\n<p>Must be able to provide student PLIT</p>",
