You will help ensure fleet vehicles are safe, operational, and ready for on-road testing and demonstrations.<br><br><b>Available Shifts<br><br>First Shift</b><br><br>- Sunday–Thursday | 8:00 AM–4:30 PM<br>- Tuesday–Saturday | 8:00 AM–4:30 PM<br>- Thursday–Monday | 8:00 AM–4:30 PM<br><br><b>Second Shift</b><br><br>- Tuesday–Saturday | 2:00 PM–10:30 PM<br>- Thursday–Monday | 2:00 PM–10:30 PM<br>- Saturday–Wednesday | 2:00 PM–10:30 PM<br><br><b>Key Responsibilities</b><br><br>- Perform vehicle maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and fleet reworks<br>- Configure, test, and sign off vehicles for safe on-road operation<br>- Conduct preventative maintenance and scheduled service inspections<br>- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and vehicle system issues<br>- Escalate complex technical issues to engineering teams when needed<br>- Coordinate repairs from diagnosis through resolution<br>- Develop and execute diagnostic test plans<br>- Maintain detailed service documentation and quality reports<br>- Support fleet readiness for testing and demonstrations<br>- Organize shop tools, equipment, and workspaces<br>- Assist with inventory management, parts organization, and logistics<br>- Travel locally as needed to support fleet operations<br><br><b>Required Qualifications</b><br><br>- 2–4+ years of automotive technician or fleet maintenance experience<br>- Strong knowledge of automotive repair methods, tools, diagnostics, and vehicle systems<br>- Experience performing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting<br>- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record<br>- Ability to pass background check, MVR check, and drug screening<br>- Forklift and/or gantry operation experience required<br>- Current forklift certification compliant with Cal/OSHA standards<br>- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods<br>- Strong written and verbal communication skills<br>- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment<br>- Reliable, detail-oriented, and self-motivated team player<br><br><b>Preferred Qualifications</b><br><br>- Experience in automotive engineering labs, research environments, Dyno labs, or battery testing facilities<br>- Knowledge of CAN bus systems, wiring diagrams, and soldering<br>- Experience towing trailers or transporting fleet vehicles<br>- Technical trade school certification or Associate Degree in Automotive Technology<br>- Ability to travel locally and occasionally nationally<br><br><b>Ideal Candidate</b><br><br>The ideal candidate is a hands-on automotive professional with experience in fleet maintenance, diagnostics, vehicle repair, and workshop operations.
