At New Haven, we believe that strong relationships are central to the healing process, and we support both the emotional and academic growth of our students.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>We are currently seeking a <strong>hands-on, experiential teacher</strong> to join our team at our <strong>Stabilization and Assessment facility in Spanish Fork</strong>. This is a unique opportunity to work in a small, nurturing, and highly collaborative teaching environment where innovation and creativity are encouraged.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>If you're passionate about making a difference in the lives of young women and thrive in a relationship-centered, therapeutic setting—we’d love to meet you!</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Plan and deliver instruction for all classes, adapting lessons for different learning levels and special education needs.</p></li>\n <li><p>Grade assignments promptly and update grades and behavior notes weekly in BestNotes.</p></li>\n <li><p>Track and report IEP goals, review student testing, and administer educational assessments as needed.</p></li>\n <li><p>Maintain curriculum files with lesson plans, activities, and evaluations for each course.</p></li>\n <li><p>Attend weekly staff and treatment team meetings, sharing updates on student progress and behavior.</p></li>\n <li><p>Contact parents weekly to provide updates on student academic performance.</p></li>\n <li><p>Develop and implement support plans for students earning below a C-.</p></li>\n <li><p>Monitor student safety by reviewing levels weekly and responding accordingly.</p></li>\n <li><p>Collaborate with school districts, educational consultants, and support core teachers with interventions.</p></li>\n <li><p>Serve as an academic advisor and participate in the S&A L10 team.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Utah State Certified in Secondary Education (6–12) with English endorsement (or working toward it).</p></li>\n <li><p>Special Education Mild/Moderate Endorsement required.</p></li>\n <li><p>Strong knowledge of subject matter, teaching methods, and Special Education procedures.</p></li>\n <li><p>Familiarity with company policies and student-related challenges.</p></li>\n <li><p>Effective written and verbal communication skills with students, parents, and coworkers.</p></li>\n <li><p>Ability to adapt to a wide range of learning, behavioral, and emotional needs.</p></li>\n <li><p>Skilled in planning, organizing, and prioritizing tasks.</p></li>\n <li><p>Basic computer skills, including word processing and navigating online systems like BestNotes.</p></li>\n <li><p>Teaching experience beyond student teaching is preferred but not required.</p></li>\n <li><p>Year-round teaching schedule (210 days) with 6 weeks off during summer.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Benefits</h2>\n<p><strong>New Haven is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.</strong> We are committed to enriching the therapeutic and healing experience we offer through the diversity of our employees and community.
