Description

Who we are Luxembourg National Data Service (LNDS) is a brand of PNED G.I.E. an organisation created by the Luxembourg Government, to implement Luxembourg’s strategies in research, innovation, and digitalisation. LNDS enables value creation from secondary use of data, for public and private partners and supports the sharing and re-use of public sector data, in a trustable manner. The LNDS service portfolio includes know-how, capabilities, tools, infrastructure, and data services. Through efficient & responsible use of data and improving the secondary use of data, LNDS will support the acceleration of economic, ecological, and societal transitions. www.lnds.lu | LNDS on LinkedIn Purpose of the job / project LNDS is looking for an intern to support a cross-functional initiative aimed at improving how internal service questions are handled across enabling functions such as People, Office, Finance, Communication and others. Today, answers are provided through Jira Service Management, Confluence, emails, Slack messages and informal exchanges. While the knowledge often exists, it is not always easy to find quickly, consistently or with confidence. The internship will help prepare the ground for a future internal service layer where simple questions can be answered automatically, more complex ones can be supported with AI-generated draft answers, and human expertise is focused where it adds the most value. This work will also support the future implementation phase with a junior AI/automation profile. The intern will work closely with enabling teams as well as with DataOps and DevOps colleagues managing the Atlassian ecosystem and related tools. The intern will report to the Head of Operations and Head of People and will be part of the Operations department. What you will do Analyse recurring internal service questions across selected enabling functions using available sources such as Jira tickets and team input Assess how easily existing answers can be found in Confluence and  identify  gaps, friction  points  or improvement opportunities Help define which requests could be answered automatically, supported with AI-generated draft answers, or handled directly by a human expert Document service logic,  workflows  and example use cases to prepare future implementation Collaborate with People, Office, Finance, Communication,  DataOps  and DevOps stakeholders throughout the project Who you are Currently pursuing a  Master’s  degree, or in the final year of a  Bachelor’s  degree, in Business, Digital Transformation, Information Systems, Data, Engineering or a related field Strong interest in process improvement, digital tools, AI-enabled services and change management Analytical mindset with attention to detail and the ability to structure information clearly Comfortable working with structured and unstructured information, digital  tools  and data Good written and verbal communication skills in English Ability to handle sensitive information with a high degree of confidentiality and professional discretion   Nice to have Basic understanding of AI, automation  concepts  or digital service design Familiarity with Jira, Confluence or similar ticketing and knowledge management tools Experience with data analysis, process mapping,  documentation  or user journey thinking Curiosity,  initiative  and a practical problem-solving mindset Through this internship, we offer: A meaningful internship of 4 months minimum, with the possibility to extend up to 6 months depending on availability and project scope Exposure to cross-functional internal services, AI-enabled  automation  and the Atlassian ecosystem Close collaboration with enabling teams,  DataOps  and DevOps colleagues, while being part of the Operations department A strong learning opportunity preparing the ground for future AI implementation at LNDS A voluntary internship (without school agreement) or mandatory internship (with school agreement); conditions apply This internship is compensated in line with Luxembourg regulations and depends on the type of internship (mandatory or voluntary), its duration, and the candidate’s academic level. For long-term internships (4-6 months), the expected monthly gross allowance typically ranges between €2,000 and €2,500.
