A Master’s or Doctorate degree is considered an asset.</span><span> </span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Possess at least </span><span>7</span><span> </span><span>years of post-</span><span>graduate</span><span> experience in geotechnical engineering, with a focus on geotechnical engineering.</span><span> </span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Demonstrate excellent </span><span>interpersonal</span><span>, </span><span>written</span><span> and verbal communication skills in English, strong organizational abilities, and the capacity to manage and prioritize multiple assignments simultaneously, ensuring the delivery of quality work on time and within budget.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Have</span><span> experience in geotechnical design for roads, bridges, dams, buildings, tunneling, etc.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>B</span><span>e proficient in geotechnical software applications such as Slope/W, Seep/W, Sigma/W, Settle3D,</span><span> FLAC, PLAXIS or </span><span>similar.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Be a licensed Professional Engineer in Canada and be (or eligible to become) a Registered Professional Engineer with PEO.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Be motivated to provide excellent client service and enjoy working in a multi-disciplinary team environment.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Have experience with and the ability to make informed decisions </span><span>regarding</span><span> intrusive and non-intrusive field investigations, basic and advanced laboratory testing, and material characterization.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Be experienced in field investigation techniques such as CPT, SPT, and their application in static and seismic design.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Experience with MTO </span><span>Foundations</span><span> investigation and design is considered an asset.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span><span>Main Duties:</span></span></span><span> </span></p>\n<p><span><span>The successful candidate will be able to </span><span>demonstrate</span><span> experience in the following:</span></span><span> </span></p>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>W</span><span>ork collaboratively with other GEMTEC offices, particularly for larger and multi-disciplinary assignments.</span><span> </span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>C</span><span>oordinate and manage geotechnical programs, including field investigations, geotechnical analysis and design, and report preparation for highways, roads, bridges, buildings, marine and municipal infrastructure, land development, geotechnical instrumentation, </span><span>mines</span><span> and dams.</span><span> </span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>C</span><span>omplete geotechnical design for shallow and deep foundations, </span><span>retaining</span><span> structures, embankment dams, roadway embankments, railways, excavation support systems, tunnels, trenchless construction, staged embankment construction, and ground improvement methods.</span><span> </span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Perform project management functions, including proposal preparation, budget estimation, scheduling, scope management, project summary report preparation, </span><span>maintaining</span><span> quality throughout the project, and implementing improvements.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Mentor junior staff.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Adhere to health and safety protocols, promoting a safe working environment.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Adher</span><span>e</span><span> to all company
