This role is hands-on and shop-based, working closely with welders, supervisors, and quality personnel to maintain consistent weld quality throughout the production process.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Perform visual inspection of production welds in a manufacturing environment</li><li>Inspect fit-up, joint preparation, and final welds per applicable codes and drawings</li><li>Verify welder qualifications, WPS compliance, and material traceability</li><li>Interpret fabrication drawings, welding symbols, and inspection criteria</li><li>Document inspection results, nonconformances, and corrective actions</li><li>Work collaboratively with production teams to address quality issues in real time</li><li>Support internal audits and external audits and continuous improvement initiatives</li><li>Maintain inspection records and quality documentation</li><li>Support training and guidance to less experienced welders</li></ul><p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li><strong>Current AWS Certified Weld Inspector (CWI)</strong> certification</li><li>Experience inspecting welds in a manufacturing or fabrication shop</li><li>Strong understanding of welding processes (GMAW, FCAW, GTAW, SMAW, etc.)</li><li>Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols</li><li>Familiarity with common manufacturing quality systems</li><li>Clear written and verbal communication skills</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Experience with AWS D1.1 or other applicable manufacturing codes</li><li>Prior QC or QA experience in a production environment</li><li>Experience with continuous improvement or lean manufacturing practices</li></ul><p><strong>Work Environment &amp; Physical Requirements</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Shop-based role with exposure to heat, noise, and industrial equipment</li><li>Ability to stand and walk for extended periods</li><li>Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as required</li><li>Use of PPE required at all times</li></ul></div></div></div>\n",
