This role drives workflow optimization, promotes regulatory and organizational compliance, and supports innovation across the hospital environment. The specialist contributes to the full lifecycle of clinical information systems—including implementation, configuration, testing, training, end‑user support, and go‑live readiness—while also mentoring colleagues to strengthen team knowledge and troubleshooting capabilities. Additionally, the Health Informatics Specialist participates in organizational governance processes to ensure that system enhancements and operational decisions align with clinical, regulatory, and strategic priorities. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><b>Education:</b> </p>\n<p>Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is required.</p>\n<p>Master’s degree in Health Informatics preferred</p>\n<p>Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><b>Experience:</b> </p>\n<p>Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in a clinical, healthcare IT, or informatics setting.</p>\n<ul>\n <li>At least two (2) years of direct, hands-on experience with Epic or other clinical systems.</li>\n <li>Proven experience with Epic EHR systems, including implementation, configuration, and optimization.</li>\n <li>Strong understanding of healthcare operations, clinical terminology, and regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA, CMS).</li>\n <li>Proven experience with data analytics tools and reporting platforms.</li>\n <li>1-2 years in informatics preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><b>Certification/Licensure:</b> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Epic Certification preferred</li>\n <li>CPHIMS or CAHIMS or Informatic certification preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<p></p>\n<p><b>Knowledge, Skills & Abilities</b></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and analytical reasoning, with the ability to evaluate alternative solutions, assess downstream impacts, and make evidence‑based recommendations.</li>\n <li>Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to diverse clinical and technical audiences.</li>\n <li>Professional interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy, active listening, and the ability to build productive relationships across clinical, operational, and IT/IS teams.</li>\n <li>Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while also functioning effectively as a collaborative team member and serving as a team lead when needed.</li>\n <li>Proficiency in workflow analysis, including the ability to observe, map, and interpret end‑user processes in varied care environments.</li>\n <li>Adaptable, detail‑oriented, and skilled at managing multiple priorities.</li>\n <li>High digital literacy with the ability to learn and explain clinical information systems.</li>\n <li>Customer‑service focused, with strong relationship‑building abilities.</li>\n <li>Committed to continuous learning and staying current with health IT trends.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Additional Job Description</h2>\n<p></p>",
