This role is ideal for an engineer with strong foundational networking experience who thrives in <strong>client-facing environments</strong> and enjoys working across multiple technologies and customer environments.</p><p>The engineer will be responsible for <strong>day-to-day support, troubleshooting, and implementation</strong> of network infrastructure, while also contributing to project delivery and continuous improvement initiatives.</p><hr><h2><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h2><h3><strong>Client Support & Operations</strong></h3><ul><li>Provide <strong>ongoing support and configuration</strong> for client network environments, including routers, switches, and firewalls.</li><li>Monitor network health using <strong>alerting and monitoring tools</strong>, proactively identifying and resolving issues.</li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve <strong>routing, switching, and firewall-related incidents</strong> across multi-vendor environments.</li><li>Manage and drive <strong>support tickets to resolution</strong>, meeting SLAs and client expectations.</li><li>Participate in an <strong>on-call rotation</strong> to support critical client environments.</li></ul><hr><h3><strong>Project Delivery</strong></h3><ul><li>Assist with or lead <strong>network implementation and upgrade projects</strong>, including deployments, migrations, and optimizations.</li><li>Work across multiple clients simultaneously, supporting <strong>varied environments and business requirements</strong>.</li><li>Contribute to <strong>network design discussions</strong> and implementation planning.</li></ul><hr><h3><strong>Documentation & Process</strong></h3><ul><li>Create and maintain <strong>network diagrams, runbooks, and technical documentation</strong> for client environments.</li><li>Follow established processes while identifying opportunities for <strong>operational improvements and efficiency gains</strong>.</li><li>Ensure accurate documentation for <strong>knowledge sharing and client handoff</strong>.</li></ul><hr><h3><strong>Collaboration & Escalation</strong></h3><ul><li>Collaborate with internal teams and clients to <strong>resolve issues and deliver solutions effectively</strong>.</li><li>Handle escalations and provide <strong>guidance to junior engineers</strong> when needed.</li><li>Build strong working relationships with <strong>clients and internal stakeholders</strong>.</li></ul><hr><h2><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></h2><ul><li><strong>3+ years</strong> of hands-on experience with network infrastructure (routing, switching, firewalls).</li><li>Experience in <strong>client-facing environments</strong> (MSP or professional services strongly preferred).</li><li>Strong troubleshooting skills across <strong>network and security layers</strong>.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple priorities in a <strong>fast-paced, multi-client environment</strong>.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>Strong organizational and <strong>time management abilities</strong>.</li></ul><hr><h2><strong>Technical Requirements</strong></h2><ul><li>Hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting:<ul><li><strong>Fortinet (required)</strong></li><li><strong>Cisco & Cisco Meraki (required)</strong></li><li><strong>SonicWALL (required)</strong></li></ul></li><li>Experience with the following is a plus:<ul><li>Palo Alto</li><li>Ruckus</li><li>Arista</li><li>HPE/Aruba</li></ul></li><li>Solid understanding of:<ul><li>VLAN design and segmentation</li><li>Routing protocols and design concepts</li><li>OSI model and network fundamentals</li></ul></li></ul>",
