The Junior Salesforce Developer will help build scalable, secure, and user-centered solutions that support student enrollment, academic operations, reporting, and institutional workflows.</p><p>Experience in the education sector is preferred but not required.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><p><strong>Salesforce Development &amp; Configuration</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining Salesforce applications within Education Cloud.</li><li>Build and modify:<ul type=\"circle\"><li>Custom objects, fields, validation rules</li><li>Flows (Record-Triggered, Screen Flows)</li><li>Approval processes</li><li>Page layouts and Lightning record pages</li></ul></li><li>Support Apex development (under supervision):<ul type=\"circle\"><li>Apex classes and triggers</li><li>Test classes and code coverage</li></ul></li><li>Develop and maintain Lightning Web Components (LWC) as needed.</li></ul><p><strong>SIS &amp; Academic Workflow Support</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Support development of modules related to:<ul type=\"circle\"><li>Student data management</li><li>Admissions and enrollment workflows</li><li>Course scheduling and registration</li><li>Attendance and grading processes</li></ul></li><li>Assist in ensuring FERPA-aligned data security and role-based access controls.</li></ul><p><strong>Reporting &amp; Data Management</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Build and maintain reports and dashboards for academic and operational stakeholders.</li><li>Support data imports, exports, and data quality validation.</li><li>Assist in maintaining data integrity across integrated systems.</li></ul><p><strong>Integration &amp; Collaboration</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Support API integrations with third-party systems (LMS, assessment tools, payment systems, etc.).</li><li>Work collaboratively with:<ul type=\"circle\"><li>Business Analyst (requirements clarification)</li><li>SILS team (functional validation)</li><li>Systems team (security and infrastructure alignment)</li><li>External Salesforce implementation partners</li></ul></li><li>Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and solution design discussions.</li></ul><p><strong>Quality Assurance &amp; Documentation</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Write and maintain technical documentation.</li><li>Support UAT testing cycles.</li><li>Assist in release management and deployment processes.</li><li>Follow version control and change management best practices.</li></ul><p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>1&ndash;3 years of experience working with Salesforce (internship or entry-level acceptable).</li><li>Salesforce Administrator Certification (required or must obtain within 6 months of hire).</li><li>Foundational knowledge of:<ul type=\"circle\"><li>Apex</li><li>SOQL</li><li>Lightning Experience</li><li>Flow Builder</li></ul></li><li>Basic understanding of relational data models.</li><li>Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.</li><li>Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Experience with Salesforce Education Cloud.</li><li>Prior work in K&ndash;12, adult education, higher education, or nonprofit environments.</li><li>Salesforce Platform Developer I Certification.</li><li>Experience with:<ul type=\"circle\"><li>Lightning Web Components (LWC)</li><li>REST/SOAP APIs</li><li>Data migration tools (Data Loader, ETL tools)</li></ul></li><li>Understanding of data privacy frameworks (FERPA preferred).&nbsp;</li><li>Deep commitment to CRIPCS&#39;s core values and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) and ability to model those values in relationships with colleagues and partners.</li><li>Must be able to provide proof of completed COVID-19 vaccination</li><li>To ensure that you understand the school&rsquo;s commitment to our work and the expectations of all school community members in advancing Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging work.
